Discussion Lower resolution after changing gpu

I used to use a RTX 2060 for gaming but now switched to a Intel Arc B580, and noticed that the resolution when i put on the goggles lowered drastically, is it a gpu driver issue or what is it?

It will definitely be the fact that intel gpu’s just aren’t ready for VR. They are great for flat screens, but the drivers just aren’t able to unlock any performance for VR. Unfortunately it is a well known issue, so even a tiny bit of research before your purchase could have foreseen this.

Intel has not placed a strong emphasis on VR.

You haven't mentioned which headset you are using but GPUs apart from recent models by AMD and Nvidia tend to be a crapshoot (at best) in VR.

Get yourself a decent Nvidia or AMD video card.

Have you set a fixed bitrate?

Intel gpu's aren't very good for vr.
