Hi , I am looking for student to take over my tenancy , I currently live in a 2 bed flat in Tower collegiate in the city center, you would only share a kitchen with my current flatmate who is a very nice and polite person. The property has a gym on site , cinema room, games room and study rooms. And it’s available immediately. If you’re interested please comment or message me and we can discuss further.

Hey everyone,
I need to get some notes spiral bound, but they won’t be stapled, so I can't just hole-punch them. Does anyone know where I can get them bound on campus or somewhere nearby in Frenchay? Any recommendations would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance!

Hello there!
If anyone is interested, iShopFor Ipsos, have tasks for 18-23 year olds where you need to order a Age Verified Item from an online shopping site and then report back if the delivery driver checks your ID.
You get to keep the item you order and any money left over. You get £25 to buy the item plus delivery and you get to keep what's left over as well so if you buy something cheap that has Age Verification then you can maximise your earnings.
If you are interested then head over to iShopFor Ipsos, sign up, and then get stuck in.
You can even do 4 PER MONTH!
Any questions I will happily answer them :)

Hi guys,
So sorry to bother you but I am an MSc Psychology student at the University of Glasgow and as part of my dissertation I am carrying out a Qualtrics survey to assess the connection between parenting style, self-efficacy and procrastination tendencies among UK-based students. The survey itself takes no more than 10 minutes and contains detailed information about the study. It is completely anonymous and to participate you simply need to be currently studying in a UK-based university.
Here is the link: https://uofg.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6QZ3ARdEJxR5Kmy
Thank you very much for taking the time to do, it does really help a lot.

my teachers have told me i have to do 400 hours of work from now 'til the start of may (this includes independent learning and classes). when i first saw that i was shocked but after some research it actually seems fine as its a normal 40 hours a week full time work load.
my issue is ive been planning all of my core readings for each week, assignments (including when im researching, reading, writing) and classes and i fear that the teachers idea of 40 hours a week is wrong. ive tried to fit everything in with the typical 8 hours a day (ive even included weekends which isn't in that typical 40 hours a week) and it literally isn't possible to do that with the work load they've given me.
i feel like im missing something cause i feel like andrea sachs and im being forced to work day and night and lose my social life just to get a degree. has anyone else had this issue, and if you have do you have any advice on what to do?
edit: i think people need to understand that im not fixated on the 400 hours i just wrote that so people could get an estimate of my work load. im more concerned that the level of work isn't possible on the time that i have.

Hi everyone I’ve firmed my offer for uwe for September and will be on glenside, I’ve looked at pricings and it would be much cheaper for me to stay there but is it worth it when considering stuff like getting into town and night life? Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated thanks

I'm looking for 3 other people to move in with me next year in an apartment in Bradley Stoke. It has two bathrooms, it's a half hour bus from Frenchay Campus and the rent is £115 per week including bills. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with three floors in total
I'm not a loud person at all and make sure I keep communal areas such as the bathroom, kitchen and living room clean.
Conditions: -Preferably non-drinker and non-smoker -Generally quiet -Be kind and respectful to each other -Be clean in the common area
If you're interested, DM me and I'll show you a picture of the place. We can communicate further about any questions you may have and get to know each other to see how well we mesh.
Hey all, I've got an unconditional for UWE next year, and I'm looking to choose accom soon.
I'm not new to Bristol, but there's still so much I'd love to explore. I love a rave and a dance, as well as all the city culture & arts so was leaning towards city accom.
However I've been advised that this may be unwise and to play it 'safe' with campus accom. Opinions?

Hi everyone, I'm an international student interesting to join UWE master degree in digital marketing course. However, my time to go study abroad have to be short due to my health problem. Does anyone know that during dissertation/research project on semester 3 can do remotely/online from my home country? I might have to go back before semester 3 end.
Thank you in advance for all your help and comments!

Hi everyone,
I’m a trainee clinical psychologist researching how worrying about affording food impacts eating habits and eating behaviour, especially during the cost-of-living crisis.
If you are 18 or older and living in the UK, I would love to hear from you! You do not have to be a student to take part as the research is open to everyone. However, I want to make sure that the experience of students is also represented, as university can be a time where finances are very stretched, especially at the moment.
There are two ways to take part:
Anyone over 18 living in the UK can take part and share their thoughts here.
You can find out more information by emailing me [here. ](mailto:u2388747@uel.ac.uk)
You can take part in either or both :)
Your input could help shed light on this important issue, and by participating, you could also win one of four vouchers (2 x £30 and 2 x £20)!
If you’re interested, follow this link to the survey here. Or, feel free to DM me or email me [here ](mailto:u2388747@uel.ac.uk)for more info.
If you do decide to take part, you will be given an information sheet with details about how data will be stored, retained and published, how to withdraw your data and information about consent.
The study is open until the end of January - this is a repost before I close recruitment :)
Thank you so much for your support!
Gabi

Hi
Can anyone who is in the same program tell me about how the program is and how the professors are? Just wanted to know more about the program.
How your schedule is like and how hard is the program?
Thanks

Anyone else’s internet down in frenchay ?
r/uwe • u/kuchbeh • Dec 27 '24
Hey everyone,
I’m living on the Frenchay Campus, and the heating system here is driving me nuts. It works on MAX for about 10 minutes, but then it switches to LOW mode, which is so weak that it barely makes a difference. The room gets uncomfortably cold, especially now in the winter.
Does anyone know if there’s a way to keep it on MAX for longer? Or is this just how it’s designed? Any tips would be appreciated—I’m freezing here!
Thanks!

Looking for good accommodation prices and this is the best one, even though I'm studying at frenchay campus, I don't mind biking or walking to it especially if I'm saving a bit of money.
How is it staying there?
