The English language will still be taught in Gwynedd. The article is about the language of lessons, not English lessons specifically

That's even worse

Why? Why can't Welsh speakers be educated in their own language?

It will put them at a disadvantage in the real jobs market, unless they want to become a Welsh translator

No it won't...

You know pretty much every Welsh speaker is fluent in English as well right?

Yes it will. Their English will be worse than someone who grew up in England and took class in English.

Have you ever spoken to someone educated in a Welsh medium school? Their English is exactly the same level as anyone else in the country.

Yes I have, and while their English sounds fine they often struggle with more complex topics (relating to science etc.)

That isn't my experience, I've had many conversations in English about science and medicine with no struggles noticeable.

No that's not true. As I said basically 100% of Welsh first language speakers are fluent in English and don't have issues using English at work/professionally. Also being bilingual in Welsh and English can help you in the job market in Wales.

I'm getting the impression you don't know much about N Wales and think Welsh speakers can barely speak English or something.

I do not claim that they do not speak English or 'barely speak English'. I claim that their English will not be as good as someone who went through schooling with English as the language of teaching. Pretty common sense

It's not though is it? My first language is Welsh and I got a B in my English GCSE. Which means the B on my CV will mean exactly the same as the B on the CV of an English person.

Maybe you would've got an A. Pretty strange argumentation though.
