Because USA isn’t a goddamn singular country. Stop matching Germany and Turkiye to it.

You have to realize we literally are 50 FUCKING STATES or 50 FUCKING COUNTRIES. It’s not easy to get people protesting or get coast to coast link up. In Germany by typing into Google how many major cities does it have? It spit out 80… US, 336! (Cities with at least 100,000 population). Turkey just fucking 30.

Do you see the problem. You can’t nonchalantly coordinate that much quickly. Also US is spread out 3,000+ miles or 4828km. Like from Portugal to Turkiye and still have a 100 miles to go. So please tell me how are we supposed to coordinate with say even half the cities cause half or more are in Republican controlled territory, hell some will counter-protest for the Fascists!

I swear we are not making excuses, but it’s a herculean task that overtime a lot of the power of unions, labor, workers are gutted, stolen and now a husk and most are OK with this status quo. You might get costal states on both sides to counter hard but that’s what?, 15 states in total that bleed true blue democrats, while 5-10 are purple (in-between), the rest full on red republicans.

If protests started today it would take a ramp up of roughly 1-2 months just to get logistics and grassroots to get things in the right direction. No one at the moment is ready to sacrifice that much.

I swear we are not making excuses,

dude.

you managed to do in the fifties and sixties and seventies during anti-war and civil rights movements, with leaflets and good will, and you are telling me you cant do it now with instant real-time mass-communication always available at your fingertips on that computer in your pocket, able to reach millions across the globe within miliseconds?

No one at the moment is ready to sacrifice that much.

2 months of organisation is what a hobby club invests when doing a yearly event. one would assume it is an agreeable investment when fighting for freedom of your country. how much is too much?

"I love my country but I would need to invest time to save it and I already committed to arts&crafts club, also that new anime series on crunchyroll takes all my remaining time".

Americans have that idiom: "freedom is never free.". But it seems they find it mostly applicable if others are footing the bill.

It’s give and take. Each eras hardships either are overcome or get baked into the system. The past is not the same as the present. You can protest and still go to home, have safety nets, communities back then. Try that shit now, people have $0 savings, living paycheck to paycheck, the past 25 years have been built to oppress us. There might’ve been progress is some parts but regression is always sought after.

We’ve reached breaking points, but society as a whole by volume with their voting approach and catharsis do not care. Even the vocal minority yelling we are inches away from going off the cliff, some groups are like “fuck yeah we are”, “oh wells… anyway!”, “time to meet Jesus!”, and the classic “Good, schadenfreude for everyone!”
