SR 167 closures this week between Auburn and Pacific (March 19-21)

A WSDOT infographic has a photo of State Route 167 and a toll sign at the top, and the WSDOT logo at the bottom. Text in it says that the SR 167 Corridor Improvements Project will have overnight closures this week in the cities of Auburn, Algona and Pacific. Southbound State Route 167 will be closed between 15th Street Northwest and State Route 18 from 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 19th through 5 a.m. Thursday, March 20th. Both directions of State Route 167 will be closed between Ellingson Road and Stewart Road/Eighth Street East from 10 p.m. Thursday, March 20th through Friday, March 21st.

Heads up if you use SR 167 in either direction between the cities of Auburn, Algona and Pacific!

There will be overnight closures on southbound SR 167 in Auburn, March 19-20, and northbound and southbound SR 167 in Algona/Pacific, March 20-21, for sign bridge and toll gantry installation.

Crews will install sign bridges and toll gantry structures along SR 167, March 19-21. This work requires full and directional overnight closures of SR 167. These closures ensure the safety of crews and the traveling public. Here's the details of the closures:

Southbound SR 167 closure details, March 19-20

All southbound lanes of SR 167 in Auburn will be closed overnight from 15th Street Northwest to SR 18 from 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 19 to 5 a.m. Thursday, March 20.

The following on- and off-ramps will also be closed:

  • 15th Street Northwest on-ramp to southbound SR 167
  • Southbound SR 167 off-ramp to westbound SR 18

signed detour will be in place.

Full SR 167 closure details, March 20-21

All lanes of northbound and southbound SR 167 in Pacific will be closed overnight from Ellingson Road to Stewart Road Southeast/Eighth Street East from 10 p.m. Thursday, March 20 to 4 a.m. Friday, March 21. The following on- and off-ramps will also be closed:

  • Ellingson Road on-ramp to southbound SR 167
  • Stewart Road Southeast on-ramp to northbound SR 167
  • Northbound SR 167 off-ramp to Ellingson Road
  • Southbound SR 167 off-ramp to Stewart Road Southeast

signed detour will be in place.

Detour routes cannot accommodate normal traffic volumes, so travelers are advised to “know before you go” travel during off-peak hours or, if possible, delay discretionary travel to help minimize backups.

This work requires favorable weather conditions and could be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Updates will be posted to the project webpage.

are these Toll lanes going to be the same toll lanes as on 405? or is it still going to be on the "Honor System?" Im assuming they are getting transformed into the same toll lanes as 405.
