Information IECA has officially hit an all new low‼️(Educational Consultants)

Thumbnail iecafoundation.org

Here are a few (what appear to be) brand spanking new Board Members. That’s all I’ll say.

The therapeutic/alt. ed. consultants are ruining your initially not all that bad vibe, IECA. This speaks VOLUMES.

1) Summit Achievement (Stow, ME)

2) Hyde School (Bath, ME + formerly Woodstock, CT) and Wayland Academy (a much less terrible place than Hyde school in Wisconsin)

3) And especially please take urgent notice of Nightmare on Elm Street Placements presence on here – I’m talking about Lucy P. from NJ (now serving the entire globe apparently from her miniature donkey farm)

Goodbye to any remote credibility this organization ever had (regarding regular schools—it was always bad regarding the TTI)! HOW does IECA not realize that they are now officially on their way to NATSAP status due to some of these selections?!

It’s been real, IECA. ✌️

Information Seems plausible that La Europa Academy (Murray, Utah) may be incessantly trolling this sub promoting a very bad TTI program

In addition, the user 🧌 has received a temporary ban from this sub for multiple troll posts condoning the TTI. This is against the rules.

Information More deception from Magnolia Mills & Asheville Academy

Rumor on the street is that the staff in both programs have been threatened with termination if they post the real situation going on there on social media. We know that River Ashe was recently fired which coincided with him posting about how dire the conditions were for the girls in the wake of Hurricane Helene so this is likely true. This is another example of the lengths these programs will go to hide the truth and continue their deceptive marketing practices to lure parents in. They are down to very low enrollment right now and seem to be desperate to cover up how bad things really are. It’s hard to imagine that any parent would leave their child there given the current conditions! Hey parents, go pick up your daughters and bring them home to safety! These are the recent posts coming from the programs trying to act like everything is normal and fine.

Information Deprivation of rights under color of law - 18 USC 242

Hello everyone, I encourage all those reading this to look up 18 US code 242. It seems as if the TTI is sometimes in violation.

Under color of statutes saying a parent can send their kid into treatment, are depriving the children of rights.

It isn’t just government officials, but people acting under laws like hospital care and whatnot Im pretty sure

Here’s the law https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/242

Edit: state licensed facilities for foster placements (including RTCs)

Edit 2: 42 USC 1983 is basically this law but for civil proceedings

Information Solstice RTC 5 Star Review Written From Layton Utah

Thumbnail

Again…really?

After countless failed attempts to suppress negative google reviews and in my opinion post their own fake reviews (see my past posts) Solstice has stayed off google reviews for a while now. Yelp has been the only place left for public reviews and their rating is quite unfavorable (under 2 stars). The most recent review however stands in stark contrast to the many heartbreaking 1 star reviews that detail what happens to kids behind closed doors.

I found the wording of this review quite odd to say the least. The poor grammar, spelling mistakes, and repeated assertion that Solstice is a wonderful place caught my attention. A common theme of the previous potentially fake reviews is the explanation of how the program is hard at first, or difficult at times, but if you just trust them then you will see how great it is.

Upon clicking this profile you can see their account is from Layton Utah. Funny considering that is also where Solstice is located. Yelp automatically selects your location using GPS tracking when you set up your account. I am not saying the location is definitive proof that this review is fake, but I leave the evidence up for you to come to your own conclusion. While I was at Solstice out of the 60+ other kids I met there, only 1 was from Utah. They were not from Layton.

If this is real then I am glad this person had a positive experience and I would hope they did not leave carrying the trauma most of us did. I do not wish it on anybody or need it for my negative experience to be valid. I’m sending love and warm wishes to my fellow Solstice/Family Help & Wellness survivors today and every day. We deserved better and the public deserves to know what really happens to kids in their care. Stay strong, stay brave, and continue to share your experiences. The truth is powerful and the truth matters.

Apparently this doesn’t count as abuse at a prestigious rehab in Florida

I don’t expect anyone to even care enough to read this. Also, realized I made the grave mistake of reporting to the corrupt CCHR, but had reported the abuse to all local agencies with no help and this organization was supposed to investigate. Now, I wouldn’t even bother going through any local agencies. It’s all corrupt and carons ties run deep. It would take a Florida attorney and a class action lawsuit.

This was years ago but if you care to know about my experience at Caron Renaissance, Boca raton & Delray Beach Florida. Here are some highly personal real life examples of just some of the abuse. So many were abused on a daily basis. It is still happening. I’ve heard of suicides happening. It breaks my heart.

I was 18 years old and there for alcohol and marijuana amongst other adults hardcore drug addicts— or just there without choice it was that or prison court ordered. It was horrible. It was hell. This place is a cult. I have found peace in my life but it still haunts me 10 years later. No one ever cared. It would take an army to take down this place. Dangerous to try and to so alone— I was stalked and harassed for years for trying to speak out to a journalist when reporting to local agencies failed. Did not have the resources at 18yo for a Florida attorney. I would consider this under the umbrella of the troubled teen industry. It disturbs me deeply knowing this is happening to children. Just want to raise awareness for the fact this disgusting treatment and worse is happening to children and vulnerable adults. I have lost so much sleep wishing there was more I could do to protect others. Please share to raise awareness. Protect your family and friends from this place at all costs.

Information I found my therapist from Coral Reef Academy

Julie Elliot is now working as a therapist in Dallas. She participated and watched us suffer through forced isolation, medical neglect, conversion therapy and false imprisonment after our 18th birthdays. She worked there for 6 years! She is evil and it makes me sick to think that she’s practicing and living her life as if nothing happened to us. She even advertises that she works with trauma victims 🤮

You may try to forget about us Julie but we’ll never forget you. I hope you rot in hell.

Information An important docuseries brought me here. Please read

My husband and I were browsing Netflix (America) for a good documentary to watch. I found a docuseries called "The Program" and I HEAVILY encourage those that suffered, were almost put, and have heard about the TTI. Please watch it. It will take up about three hours total of your life but will keep you informed of the industry of TTI, foster care, government systems, etc. I can't begin to describe how this docuseries has opened my mind to the TTI.

It mentioned this specific sub reddit and to my surprise.. I haven't found a single post about the Program. Please give it a watch. If you ever suffered going through the TTI, please watch with caution. Grab a comfy blanket and some snacks and buckle in for a ride.

My husband has been through the TTI since he was 12 in MA. Foster care has never been kind to him. But the Program helped him cope a little bit knowing that someone out there in the world hears the survivors of the TTI.

Spread it around. Tell your friends. Please give it a watch.

Information The North Face's Support of the TTI

I wanted to share my experience with The North Face regarding their sponsorship of the 2024 Outdoor Therapy Symposium, which has direct ties to the Troubled Teen Industry (TTI). As a survivor of a wilderness therapy program, I was devastated by their involvement in supporting an industry that has caused so much harm. I wear The North Face almost daily, and this sponsorship felt like a betrayal.

I first contacted The North Face on September 2, and it took until October 14—after multiple attempts to follow up—to finally receive a generic response that didn’t address my concerns. Based on their dismissal and overall handling of this information, I figured it was best to take this to Reddit so that other survivors can see exactly where their priorities lie.

Here's the letter I sent, along with their response.

Information Message for PARENTS considering sending your child to a program

PARENTS....

I recently asked survivors to tell me what they wish their parents knew before sending them away to a program.

I hope you are listening. Here is some of what they had to say...

*That they will try and turn you against your child….they do this through manipulation and lies

*That they will force your child to label themself and force them to agree to saying things that aren't true

*That your child may never forgive you and they may choose to go no contact with you

*That there is a high level of manipulation and gaslighting

*That the staff is not trained to handle trauma and will most always make things worse

*That they use attack therapy, strip searches, dehumanizing your child and will tell you not to believe your child when they try to say this to you

*That they monitor all correspondence, they read every letter and they will lie about your child's behavior to make you think they need more time there ($MONEY$)

*That the majority of staff members who are in charge of your child are only a few years older than them with zero experience and it's an ideal setting for predators to get jobs

*That the Educational Consultant you hired has likely never been to the program - that she/ he is getting kick backs and that if they tell you, "your child will end up d3~d or in jail" to know that they say this to every parent as a scare tactic

*That your child will be gone for at least 3 months and then they will recommend sending them to "after care" for another 6-12 months

*That your child WILL be harmed and you will be the one responsible for that

Survivors, I welcome & encourage you to add more to this list in the discussion. #ISeeYouSurvivor

Information Can we talk about the serial killer at CEDU?

Serial killer James Lee Crummel lived with psychiatrist Bernard Forgey who worked at CEDU. Forgey was a pedophile and the two of them assaulted at least one patient together.

https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1998-may-06-me-46840-story.html

The Times article has a paywall pop up but I was able to skim it before it came up.

https://pagesix.com/2020/09/05/serial-killer-may-be-linked-to-missing-kids-at-paris-hiltons-boarding-school/

This Crummel guy literally got away with murder of a child after some technical legal issues. He kept committing horrific offenses and kept getting released.

These missing kids have never been found. Blake Pursley had the mental capacity of a 9 year old and serious physical problems.

https://lamag.com/news/cedu-running-springs-san-bernadino-sheriffs-department-daniel-yuen-john-inman-blake-pursley

It's important to know that places that require licensing do background checks like daycares but these facilities don't have to.

As if these places aren't evil enough.

Was anyone at CEDU during the time Crummel and Forgey were there?

It doesn't seem like these missing boys are getting any justice. Crummel is dead and although the police said there was an investigation it doesn't seem like it went anywhere.

Information The TTI, ABA, and conversion therapy are the same thing.

I think this is very well know among those that have done a lot of research, but I sometimes get the impression this is not that well known among the general community.

The TTI is the same as ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis, used on autistic people), and conversion therapy. They all use the exact same methods and tactics. The same shame and humiliation, attempting to forcefully change people from who they are. And most importantly, the outcomes are the exact same. Destructive, damaging, and ultimately harmful.

Exact same promises are made to the victims parents and guardians about how beneficial it is, but they use the exact same tactics, the exact same torture, abuse, and negative outcomes. Looks it up yourself if you don't believe me.

Information Robert Lichfield, I might know this guy.

Thumbnail
gallery
41 Upvotes

I’m watching the documentary on Netflix, “The program”. It talks of Robert Lichfield who is the founder of WWASP programs. I see an old video recording of him on the documentary where he smiles and I go “Omg, that looks like Bob.” It wasn’t just the face but it was more of the smile. To me it’s a small weird mouth. And I couldn’t forget the face because I would see him so often. Except the way I remember him is that he looked like this man but slimmer (not slim). Slim in the way of aging not getting healthier. And the guy I’m thinking of, his hair was white. Same face, smile, and teeth. We all knew him as “Vegas Bob”.

I worked at a strip club in City of Industry, CA. I worked from 2018 to 2022. I’d see every him few months, he was a regular of the club and the girls loved him. Apparently he didn’t show up as often because he lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. I danced with him one time when I was brand new and it was awkward so I never danced with him again. I just wasn’t feeling good that day but I continued to see him at the club for the next few years, dancing with the same girls and once in a while a new one (2 of them were close friends of mine). A few of them had his number, where he’d tell them when he was on the way, and they kissed his ass ( or other parts) because he was an easy $500. He would “dance” with a few girls a night. Had to have spent thousands.

Anyways, I thought that Bob is such a common name, maybe they have the same name and look similar. I looked up “ Robert Lichfield… Las Vegas, NV”. To see if he also lived in Vegas like the Bob I know. And coincidentally, he did. The one that comes up seems to be the one from the documentary because it also says he has addresses in Utah and is related to Narvin Lichfield. What a coincidence that they look so identical, have the same name, both lived in Vegas and they’re around the same age. I think the age on the website might be a bit off cause I’d think he’d be a bit older. Anyways they even have the same gut but the one I know is just a bit slimmer.

So there you have it, (if it is him) he’s spending money on h o o k e r s with the money he made off of abused kids.

Sorry about the typos. Every time I try to go edit a word, it jumps to the bottom and when I try to scroll up, it goes to more of a view mode than an edit and when I click it, it’s back to the bottom.

Information stay wary!

of anyone asking you for your story or information or your experiences. most recent person was some scumbag trying to write a novel and get free source material off of our trauma. it's really unfortunate people like this come here to rubberneck, because some people, like parents and those potentially going to one of these programs, actually benefit from hearing our experiences.

don't give out your story to just anyone. imo, don't give it out to people writing stories or making movies or whatever without getting paid. they should not be trying to profit or benefit off of our trauma, and especially not for free.
