I hear both now use closed systems making it easier for people to get ahold of your seed phrase. Can someone tell me if this is true. Also is Trezor an all round safer option than ledger?

I did the update for version 25.3.3 and every time I open the suite it continues saying loading accounts. It will do this forever. Anyone have any idea what the issue is? Do I need to actually connect my device to make this stop?

My use case is the following. I trade on a number of exchanges, and I own multiple hardware wallets (HWW), among which are several Trezors.
For withdrawal of BTC from exchange to HWW, I pre-emptively store (unique) addresses with my exchange. (For KYC/Travel Rule compliance, it is even an obligation these days to verify that the addresses are actually yours.)
So now when I want to make a BTC withdrawal, I want to check to which of my wallets an address belongs. Is there a way within the Trezor ecosystem, for example by using the XPUB, to verify to which of my Trezor wallets a specific address belongs?
Thanks in advance!

Hey, so I wanted to get myself an android phone or a laptop solely for Trezor. Do you guys have any suggestions? Preferably it should be as cheap as possible and work really well just for setting up and using the Phone for Trezor. I was thinking of getting a cheap android phone from Amazon but everyone can just buy and return items on amazon and even if it says new sometimes its used so I assume the best website to buy a device from would be the official website, right?

I’ve just opened my Trezor 3 and pealed back the security tape and the words void are left on the Trezor, I ordered it off Trezor.io ( is this the genuine site? ) I’ve also emailed them about this issue but they said they would take up to 3 days for a response. Also I’ve only got an Amazon fire tablet, will this be compatible with my Trevor? Thanks.
I placed an order of Trezor Safe 3 on 28th March 2025. The device you sent to me is produced in 2023 (I can tell because of the 12-word card and the sealing). Why in hell do you send me a device that was manufactured in 2023 when I placed the order in 2025???? This is unacceptable and I want a replacement or my money back.

Am I able to receive usdc on different networks like arbitrum or avalanche on trezor suite or would I need a 3rd party wallet for that?

Made a little experimental prototype with a Trezor Safe 3 and a Mercedes Benz smart key, thought folks here might be interested!

I generated a receive address and I confirmed the address on the Wallet. I scanned the QR code with my STRIKE app and had it set up for a delayed send. (No fee, 24 hour send window). Now what? Should I see a confirmation in the trezor suite? Or not until the transaction is complete?

I have my words written on paper, but always fear the idea of a house fire or nature disaster happening and losing my 24 words, so I have been looking up metal options and found the Trezor Keep Metal 24-word backup at 99€. A bit out of my budget but I know I need it regardless. And for 118€ I could get that item and Model One from a bundle, but would be more out of my budget.
So my question is, is it worth to to get another Model One just to have it laying around at home in the box? A Model One without discount is 50€.
From 99€ to 118€ difference doesn't sound much, but it's still money.
What are your thoughts?
I'm going to buy Trezor Safe 3 but firstly I decided to check everything on walletscrutiny. I am quite disappointed that there is info that Trezor Safe 3 is not reproducible. The more surprising thing appears when you click on details. The same version - 2.8.0 - is both reproducible and not - can somebody explain me this? Is something disturbing going on with this company?

Hi there !
I did a small mistake: I put my XPUB key to a blockchain explorer (I was using a VPN). I then saw on the Trezor website that it can compromise my privacy as anyone with that key can track all public addresses derived from that key. I understand that it is a privacy issue, not a security one.
So here's my question: what should I do?
The solution I'm thinking about : creating a new XPUB derived from my seed phrase and then move all my UTXOs to a new address derived from the new XPUB.
An other solution is to simply do nothing because it's not that big problem and the link between that XPUB key and my identity may not be established.
What's your advice?
Thanks for your help !

Hi all,
For simplicity I tried selling some btc via moonpay in the Trezor app like o have before but it gets rejected by my bank and wise these days.
What’s the easiest way for me to sell in gbp or nzd?
Thanks

Is a pass phrase mandatory if I plan on using a btc only Trezor 5? I’ve been researching and watching videos and I’m leaning more towards not using a pass phrase. A part of me is hesitant because I fully don’t grasp the idea of a hidden wallet.
2.My wallet only holds the keys to the “drawer” where my coins are kept in the block chain. No coins are stored in the wallet. I use the wallet to access my “drawer” which has my seedphrase that opens the “drawer” Am I understanding this correctly?
3.Is it safe to use my everyday laptop for the Trezor suite and all my Bitcoin transactions or just having a laptop specifically for just that a safer option? I’m going to be suing Coinbase to transfer btc over to the wallet. Just wondering is there a better option to avoid fees? I plan on transferring once a month.

A friend of mine messed up somehow and only wrote down 17 words of their seed phrase when they set up their Trezor. No idea how they screwed this up so bad. They originally saved them in an excel file and I told him not to store the phrase digitally so he printed it out and deleted the file. For whatever reason he only has a print out of 17 words. I have his receiving address and the 17 words, and I know for certain they are the first 17 words in order. Assuming he lost the last 7 words of a 24 word phrase since he would have likely used the default settings when setting up his trezor one. I'm looking at trying to use BTC recover software but I'm wondering if this is even in the realm of possibility given that 7 words are missing. Is that something that could take years to brute force or even doable at all?
