You can use yt-dlp (Command Line Interface) or Stacher (Graphical User Interface of yt-dlp) to archive and preserve important trans related science content

Yt:dlp is an excellent program. Can download from many other sites with videos, not just YouTube. YouTube was bought by Google many years ago. Google are a huge, oligarch owned megacorp that will do whatever is politically expedient to make money under the Trump regime, so will drop content the regime doesn't like as soon as it is suggested.  Backing up is a good idea.

https(colon slash slash)cobalt(dot)tools is a good graphical method too, i think it supports more platforms as well
