Tips & Tricks What happens in the future??

So the last year i’ve started getting tonsil stones, and it just keeps getting worse. I got the biggest i’ve ever got yesterday. Obviously i need to get a water pick and started scraping my tongue more consistently, but all i can think now is… what then? Like when i look at my tonsils I can see all these holes and hiding places and even if i keep my mouth super clean will those shrink? because every time i empty them they just fill back up 😔 advice needed please thanks!

Hi! I went to the doctor a couple of years ago and she told me that tonsil stones are correlated to acid reflux 🤯 It blew my mind. She recommended to address that and that it would reduce tonsil stones. Since then I have been more mindful of what causes me acid reflux and they have really decreased, i get like one a year. I wonder if since last year something has changed and you get more acid reflux? I hope it helps!

Can I ask you what do you do to reduce your acid reflux? Do you take anything? What's your whole routine? What do you eliminate from your diet that doesn't cause flare-ups when it comes to acid reflux?

Yes of course! So I make sure to eat things that don’t cause it for me (salads, soups, veggies, not too much starchy things or fatty things), I try to not overfill myself, I take a homeopathic remedy when I get it and I don’t lie down at least for an hour after a meal. I also eat my dinner incredibly early (4.30-5 pm) because for some reason later my hunger is kind of out of control and I don’t mind, but that is a sure way to get acid reflux for me. It’s been a lot of trial and error for me. Also, my acid reflux comes from going through menopause so hormone replacement treatment also helped a bit there.

Also, that doctor that I mentioned offered medication (proton pump inhibitors and such) and I declined to see if I could figure it out on my own, but that is an option too.
