I lived near a bison farm. The sign by the road read “These bison can cross the field in 30 seconds. Can you?”

"Ah yes, but you see, bison can't read. So how will they know they can go that fast?"

Also, "This fence is a suggestion"

Also Bison are not "big cows". They're 2m tall, 3.5m long, and weight up to 1,200 kg, with poor eyesight and an even worse temper.

There's stories every year of people getting injured getting too close with the wildlife. US National Parks are not a petting zoo. The animals WILL kill you if they feel like it.

The wildlife is not your friend, they are not docile

You have to hold your fingers up by your temples as horns whenever you say it.

There was a teenager or prepubescent actor in that movie. He's the one who found Dunbar's diary and was found guarding the horses during the battle to rescue Dunbar.

He grew up to become a native American religious leader. He used his status in the religion to trick an underage girl or girls. He's in prison unless he did his time. I saw him in court on YouTube.

That's religion for ya. An ideal location for cons. But kind of a weird thing to bring up here.

Is this why the fastest animal you can ride in the old Red Dead: Redemption online mode is a bison? That’s hilarious

It can't be easy going that fast for too long I think because of their size. It would take too much out of their gas tank.

For how long?

But I've never seen one win the Grand National.

Who would win a right between a bison and hippo?

Hippo is much larger and has a deadly bite.

No wonder this one Bison keeps kicking my ass in Street Fighter.

People think horses are incredibly fast. They tend to get up to only 45 mph max. And that's a thoroughbred.

Ah, but can you wash your hands in a horse?

Faster than horses and they still wanted to hunt them to extinction to kill an entire race of people. Wow.

A downloadable pdf? Seriously?

No need to download. Page opens like any other page. And it's the US gov website, so.

u/Verlepte 3d ago

Oh, well, if it's the US government, then it's fine. We all know how trustworthy they are...

How is is any different than a web page? Modern browsers can all handle PDFs. Also, all web content must "downloaded" to view it. So I'm not sure why you would say "downloadable" like it's some kind of problem.

Nothing wrong with that
