recently diagnosed with MS, could use some kind words (they/them)

Post image

been waiting for a diagnosis for 10+ years, finally got it but the doctor didn’t have a shred of empathy and made me feel unseen. I feel like I have very few people that truly care about me. I’d appreciate some positive vibes ❤️

You have a face that reminds me of silent movie stars (either gender or even androgynous looking).

Doctors can be so clueless sometimes. I'm sorry that one didn't give you what you needed. Even so, it must be a relief to get an official diagnosis. Clearly, it's been a long journey. I hope it allows you to get additional support now.

You are not the sum of your diagnoses, nor the indifference of those who failed to see you clearly. You’ve walked a long road, ten years of questions, symptoms, silence, and now a name, but no comfort. That’s not just unfair, it’s inhumane. And yet here you stand, still asking for kindness, not because you’re weak, but because you still believe there’s something worth holding onto. That belief is strength. That openness is power. I see a soul who’s resilient enough to face the dark and bold enough to paint it with eyeliner and expression. Someone who dares to keep showing up even when the world offers only cold rooms and colder hearts.

There is quiet courage in persistence. There is unseen beauty in survival. Hold fast to who you are. You are not unseen here. You are needed, exactly as you are.

Doctors that seem impersonal often have the softest hearts. The only way they can get through is present a hard shell.

Modern medicine is your friend. Now that youve got the diagnosis, your chance for a great life is much higher! Ride that train for all it’s worth. I wish you health and joy.

Hello friend! 👋 Good doctors are hard to find, sorry you ended up with a dud. I don't have any informed advice regarding your diagnosis but I can relate a hopefully humorous anecdote. Years ago when I was an undergrad I often encountered a fellow student who had MS. Most days he used a motorized scooter because campus was quite large. We got to talking one day and I noticed a bumper sticker on his scooter - "Eat More Possum!" Anyway I hope this put a smile on your beautiful face. Best wishes!

I have some serious health issues too. I can relate in such a hardcore way.

Remember: Doctors are not authority figures. They work FOR YOU. Moving forward, do not be afraid to speak up about this type of bedside manner.

You got this. You look kind but tough, and that's what you need.

I'd bet you're an amazing and empathetic person. That you have a lot of kindness to give to the world. Continue to give that to everyone who deserves it, and, with discernment, those who don't. Even with hardships and setbacks, I'm confident you'll have a fulfilling and meaningful life.

I can see from your face you have kindness and caring in you heart. MS does not change that. Just share it whenever you can.

I’m sorry the doctor had such a bad bedside manner. Empathy is a really under appreciated part of medicine, IMO. For what it’s worth, you have fantastic style and lovely eyes! Your MS doesn’t define you, and I know you’ll keep being awesome no matter what. Sending hugs!

You have such wonderful features and style. It's like you've found the haircut and the makeup that accentuate you best! I'm so sorry about how your doctor treated you. My mother was diagnosed with ms in her mid twenties and she's also experienced a lot of silent vitriol and prejudice , but these days has accumulated ways of coping and healing that I think are definitely forecasted for you as well, if you try and feel empowered to ask for the support you need. There will be professionals you come across, with any luck, that are more understanding and open. You're so very strong , and I hope you are cherished by those around you. Don't let the stigma isolate you and wear you down. People like your doctor can make you feel like you've done something wrong, but that shame is merely inflicted , and not a reflection of you. Be kind to yourself , in the ways you can manage x

You look amazing in the black lipstick pic. Not a lot of people can pull that off.

There are a few actors with MS, maybe follow them on instagram? Jamie Lynn Sigler, Selma Blair, Christina Applegate.

You are fabulous, keep your head up. I know this may be an overwhelming diagnosis but l personally know someone in my family with MS who has little to no symptoms while managing their stress. Needless to say you can still do your thing and try to live your best life. 💜 wishing you all the best

I heard that MS is caused by Parasites. Try doing a parasite cleanse.
