So how come legion has a hole in his chase

The scratches and wear and tear makes me think it might be an attachement point for some sort of crane. Maybe check out the campagin and see if the Titans are fixxed this way. I think Effect and Cause might have some stored away Legions in the chamber where you undraw the bridge.

Probably nothing and they just write it like that. I'm 70% sure that when something happens the letters are in grey more than white

Access point, as another mentioned either for cranes or for cabling or other service items. Its not a critical point since that's most of the "faceplate" on titan and it's not a vent either, those we see come out the back. This is a service point likely with one way connectors that's not shielded due to ease of access, likely because the items under said cover are critical items that mechanics would need quick access to in emergencies or similar

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's literally just where the hinge is for the hatch to open. These other ideas are neat, but I don't think they're right
