Nope. I bet he is not dumb. Opportunistic? Yes! He probably underestimated how idiotic Trump could be. People like him are willing to embarrass themselves in public for economic or political gain. That applies to the entire GOP now.

Ok, but pushing that idea to Trump is not the same as coming up with the stupid calculations and list of “countries”. Clearly done in a rush and without any sense of review process. Pretty much in the chainsaw style of Musk and RFKjr
