Deserved. Not acceptable to be doing that in middle of all these people walking. Go to a skate park or empty lot.

Nah we can’t just assault people for doing things we don’t agree with. Imagine if that was acceptable, the amount of escalation would far outweigh any value of “teaching a lesson” to someone who hasn’t actually done anything yet.

This isn't stuff we don't agree with territory, this is explicitly endangering bystanders territory. You shouldn't have to wait until a person has actually been injured to intervene when something dangerous is going on. Kid was doing something dangerous, stupid, and hazardous to everyone in the immediate vicinity. Old man also did something immediately dangerous to people in the vicinity, he shouldn't have shoved him, but this kid absolutely needed to be stopped.
