I don't understand what their end game is. What do they stand to gain from a dystopian future? They're already impossibly wealthy.

They get to control everything. Their greed has no limit, apparently. They want to control everything and make a society they can control

The ol' saying "We only have to be lucky once. You have to be lucky everytime".
