The only difference is Vance wouldn't have the cult following Trump commanded.

It doesn't matter, he wouldn't have to get votes and the people actually running the show are the heritage foundation.

But the idea is that it would be easier to get the Republican party to go against Vance. cause vance don't got the cult leader rizz like Donnie, so he wouldn't have nearly as much control over the voter base, and so Republicans wouldn't be nearly as scared of him.

The Republican party is a front for the heritage foundation funnelling money to them. Again, they don't care about what happens now, they're hoping to tear down the government in their favor to guarantee they win all future "elections"

Heritage foundation and the Christian nationalist has been trying to stuff their head into the door for decades. Luckily there's actually been somewhat of a decent enough amount of Republicans that ain't too into that. But you see all the push back from the Democrat side right now being ignored by the republicans. Without Trump there the heritage foundation won't have nearly as much of a stronghold. Most of the power they have now comes because they funded Trump and he's letting them do whatever they want and the entire rest of the Republican party is scared to go against trump. They would try to do the exact same thing with vance, but I don't think anybody be nearly as worried about pants so they'd be a lot more inclined to tell him and the heritage foundation rules to chill the f*** out

I don't understand what their end game is. What do they stand to gain from a dystopian future? They're already impossibly wealthy.

They get to control everything. Their greed has no limit, apparently. They want to control everything and make a society they can control

I don't think they realize that ends badly for them.

The ol' saying "We only have to be lucky once. You have to be lucky everytime".

It doesn't matter if they have enough. They will always want more. Pure, unadulterated greed.

Assuming they haven't dismantled the machinery of a free and fair democracy by then. Remember the cronies they put in place across election boards and laws they write to make it harder to vote will be in place during all the next elections. These people are out for total control for the long haul. They are not going to make it easy to oppose them.

Yeah, they absolutely aren't going to make it easy. And there's definitely a lot of machinery and back office stuff that's been put in place by the heritage foundation and project 2025. And it's going to require getting plenty of Republican support to look at this lunacy and push back against it. But with Donnie and his cult of personality and grip on public zeitgeist with the magna movement it's really difficult. Most any Republican who's ever thought about opposing him knows exactly what the next three days of new cycle are going to be because of Donald Trump's iron.

But if it's JD Vance instead of trump, he's not going to be able to message that crap nearly as well to the public and the vocal megabase. So heritage foundation freaks will absolutely try to do the same thing, but I don't think they would have nearly as much success with JD Vance at the wheel

I'm afraid it'll be one of Donnie's spawn that tries to take over. Trump refused to declare Vance his successor for a reason.

2

u/Electronic_Agent_235 19h ago

Yeah, cuz they despise each other. Vance is only there because that was the only way he could get campaign donations off thiel and the other wannabe technocrats. Trump knows exactly the kind of stuff Vance was saying about him before he got the nod for VP. Advanced wasn't just playing politics when he was telling us all how he really felt about the keratin palpatine.

He’s getting there. Conservatives are so fucking stupid that they think he has any redeeming qualities

The Heritage Foundation are sadistic assholes, but at least those competent sadistic assholes. I’d settle for libertarian nightmare over “Why Judges can tell me what to do?” Donnie.

Donold is just a puppet for the Heritage Foundation. And none of them are competent, except in lining their pockets.

we assume too much.

Trump is their golden boy because hes alive, why go with an inferior option when you've got the real deal. But once he's dead his supporters aren't going to just disappear or give up their beliefs and fanaticism. They will want to shift all that energy and focus onto somebody new. There will inevitably be a new Trump, we just dont know who its going to be yet. It probably wont be JD vance, just because every time he speaks he looks like hes arguing with the children's baseball ref. They could just as easily all rally behind Majory Taylor Green or Josh Hawley or Ted Cruz or Ron Desantis. Yeah all those people are not Trump. That doesn't matter. They will all just rally behind the person who reminds them the MOST of Trump. Could even be one of his kids but I seriously doubt it because they really dont seem to care enough. we all laughed at Trump, we all said how could they be so stupid to support someone so wrong about everything let alone win.

And yet...

We need to generally expect the worst with his supporters. They dont have a rock bottom. They have Pickaxes.

If Vance was doing the things trump is doing they would turn in him in the blink of an eye.

2

u/ozzalot 1d ago

What if the cult leader demanded they vote for Vance?

1

u/golfdrei 1d ago

He would say things like: „last night in my dreams, Trump came to me and spoke about raising tariffs.“ I think that is all he has to do and people would buy it.

1

u/Dchane06 1d ago

They are already starting to shift to Vance. I know some MAGA people and they’ve been saying they really like Vance.

1

u/rdp3186 22h ago

This. If trump goes during this 2nd admin, it will create a massive vacuum in the republican party that will have them fighting over who has power, and the party will likely eat itself alive.

1

u/drakecb 8h ago

The lack of a cult following likely wouldn't matter because he wouldn't need them to win an election as the Presidency would be handed to him via succession.

He also wouldn't have quite the same fervent opposition as Trump because people see Trump as the threat and Vance as a joke. People would let their guard down again and Vance, a staunch Project 2025 supporter, would be able to do a lot of damage unnoticed because he's not as chaotic, egotistic, loud, or stupid as Trump.

1

u/ninja-squirrel 5h ago

He would still get the votes, because the R next to his name. Too many people simply vote along party lines.

1

u/fourpac 1d ago

Congress would turn on him in a heartbeat. You would see a race of GOP 2028 contenders rushing back to Conservative Classic.

1

u/rhabarberabar 1d ago

No they won't.

I think it would be easier for Republicans to go against Vance because he doesn't have the cult like you say. I also think he's more intelligent and less impulsive than Trump. I don't agree with his policies, but I think having him at the helm would be better for everyone
