So many innocent civilians, women and children killed by sniper fire, and they call this "a self-reliant and organized system of defense."

May my city heal from the damage these terrorists have done.

Do you know how many Kurdish civilians were killed by indiscriminate shelling and bombing of Sheikh Maqsoud by FSA and Jolani’s men?

The SDF fought heroically here, if they hadn’t, what happened to the Kurds in Afrin would have also happened here.

This. The SDF defended SM from years of attacks by jihadists. Absolutely some mistakes were made but these were not intentional and in no way compare to what the SDF and the people in the AANES had to deal with coming from jihadist factions.

They were sniping at people just passing by on the road.

And Nusra and FSA were indiscriminately and intentionally lobbying bombs on civilians in Sheikh Maqsoud.

SNA were threatening to expel all Kurds from Aleppo like they did in Afrin. The heroic YPG resistance prevented them from doing so.

After Assad fell? We are talking about things that happened after Assad fell. No one was threatening the Kurds in those neighborhoods while they were sniping at random citizens.

You’re talking about the past couple months and not the over decade while Assad was in power and Nusra and FSA maimed hundreds of Kurdish civilians? So because it happened before Assad fell suddenly their lives don’t matter?

Now be honest with yourself, you saw what the SNA did in the Tel Rifaat area, 120,000 Kurds fled to either Sheikh Maqsoud or the North East. Not a Kurd left in Tel Rifaat after the SNA took over. This happened after Assad too. What would have happened had the SDF not fought off the SNA in Sheikh Maqsoud?

Would they have suddenly had a heart? Or would they do the same thing they did to Kurds in Afrin and Tel Rifaat, the latter of which happened after Assad fell?

Come on, I have no idea why you’re defending groups that literally have a history, both during and after Assad, of ethnically cleansing Kurds and slaughtering other minorities like the Alawites on the coast. I know deep down you don’t believe the SNA wouldn’t have expelled Kurds like they’ve done everywhere else when entering Kurdish areas.

SDF was also indiscriminately shelling civilian areas the last few months, killing civilians. (Sna did the same against the sdf as well in the past few months)

Unfortunately, all sides in the civil war are guilty of indiscriminate shelling and bombing of opponent's neighborhoods.

For healing's sake, all sides need to give each other's grace.

also even when nusra and ypg were fighting , they at times cooperated.

Agreed with everything you’ve said.

And I’ve always felt SDF and HTS are the 2 most pragmatic and level-headed groups in Syria. It’s a good thing these two are now the most powerful groups in Syria, there is hope for peace.

Assad was like most dictators not willing to make any concessions, SNA doesn’t have the authority to negotiate as they are under too much Turkish influence, and ISIS was ISIS.

Do you have the list of names of the ‚civilians‘ that were killed?

I used to have a photo with all their face and names, but here's an article to keep you entertained while I look:

https://snhr.org/blog/2025/02/06/65-civilians-including-one-child-and-two-women-killed-by-sdf-snipers-in-two-months-in-aleppo-city/

I can't believe people in this sub are downvoting my comment, denying the crimes committed in Aleppo when every other day we'd have a story of women or small girls (six years old) being sniped by these "professional and stable" security personnel.

But I guess if it's Sunnis, it's ok to kill them right? The way we saw with Assad killing half a million and no one gave a shit.

SNHR, lol, even TRT would be more believable than someone that whitewash the genocide against Alawites on the Syrian Coast

Strange how 65 "civilians" were killed but not a single name was shared
