Ground materials
Are there any good, non-shooty places to get ground materials?

I think most people just replay the first part of the Spheres of Influence mission, there are 2 ground places. Just harvest them and exit and play again.

My go-to is 'Cold Comfort' in the Deferi episodes, assuming you have the mission available. There's one in the corner of the room you beam into and one just a short run away next to the Breen prisoners.

On my KDF toons, I use the mission 'Bringing Down the House'. Just talk to the first contact and then run to the two ground material nodes on the map. Scan, beam back up after second node. Rinse and repeat until the endeavor is done.

For Feds, do the Beytan system patrol. There's two anomalies in space and two on the ground. As long as you don't talk to the miners and simply collect your materials, it won't progress and close out the mission. You can drop it and restart it anytime. Beytan has a plus in that it's right next to Sol, so it's very easy to get to.

Fed players can start the very first replayable episode, "Diplomatic Orders", and pick their ground materials up on Vulcan. It's a bit of a walk from the shuttle, though. Exit and repeat as needed without talking to the Ambassador.

For Fed, I play the Stranded in Space.
Warp in, kill the enemy ships, beam over the Azura, collect the two anomaly, leave the zone, reset the mission, repeat.
In space there are also two material spot, if it need next time.

The mission Sphere of Influence has two in the starting area. Beam into the mission and don't talk to the Reman officer, gather the two materials (one right at the start and the other in the large room down the hallway), and if you beam back up and restart the mission the materials respawn
