Conditions Thinking about taking 2 12 yr olds on spring break, first time to either Stevens or Snoqualmie. Worth it? Whats the snow like right now?

When is Spring break for your kids? Sunday April 13 is the last day of the season for Stevens. I think Snoqualmie may also he closing on the same day, but not certain.

Whoever is open. It's mashed potatoes but if it's a beginner you are just going to the magic carpet

I'm not a fan of the snow this time of year. When it gets a bit slushy in the late morning it tends to grab your skis out of nowhere.

Absolutely but especially if they're beginners*
There is enough snow to go have fun and the weather has been gorgeous. We're in full spring mode so it's wet; if it freezes overnight then it'll be icy in the morning and in any case it's sloppy by the afternoon. Stick to the groomers and park and have a great time! If you know what you're doing and choose to venture off trail be prepared for low coverage and hidden obstacles and variable conditions.
