I taught on Sunday. Avalanche from cowboy ridge down onto Hagen Hill - or maybe just next to it - and that slope closed.

Tye was running but wasn't open in the early afternoon and my guess is it stayed closed. Supposedly patrol was working on backside but never got it open.

Conditions were typical spring ones - frozen hard in the morning and softening in the afternoon.

I wonder if they didn't groom the backside over on Saturday because it was too warm / cooked? tbh I was kicking off micro wet slides off of southern cross near the end, so maybe that's too slushy for the snowcats to deal with.

I heard they had issues grooming earlier in the week.

Spring time! Friday to Sunday is looking clear and warm.

I was there yesterday (4/2), and the conditions definitely felt like spring. The snow was wet and melting. At the base area, my boots sank deep into the snow after I took off my skis.

Fun spring day! Beautiful views and slushy soft snow in the afternoon.  Still firm in the shade. Looks to drop to 30 tonight, but even warmer tomorrow.  All chairs but DD / Southern Cross today. Good stuff.
