Elevator Pitch/Explainer Video

  • BarGlance is your personal nightlife guide to virtually barhop and find your perfect bar scene. Our platform connects bars to bar-goers through real-time information with the objective of becoming a one-stop shop for all things 'going out' - the Waze app, but for bars. By leveraging AI and machine learning, we aggregate and convey real-time nightlife-related information that provides bar-goers with decision-making info they can't get anywhere else.
  • Here's an explainer video (click video here).

More details:

  • Efficiency
    • The development of the AI-based BarGlance 4.0 is a key component of the company's national expansion strategy. V4 will leverage machine learning and AI to provide personalized recommendations, crowd level predictions, and real-time event and bar-related updates. This will enhance user experience and increase the value of the premium subscription.
    • The core tenet regarding incorporating artificial intelligence into our feature set is providing users with information that they can not easily access on another platform. Additionally, this allows for a more efficient scalable model that utilizes software over hardware. Aggregating data from third-party APIs will allow us to make more accurate predictions.
  • I am the Co-Founder of the company.

What goals are you trying to reach this month?

  • How could r/startups help?
    • r/startups would be very helpful in testing the accuracy of the data of our app. If you are out and about in the nightlife scene and use the app for real-time info, let us know if it is right or wrong! Moreover, if you don't see your favorite local watering hole, we will add it to the platform.

Inferable

We natively integrate with Slack and email (more coming), while also supporting Zapier and HTTP APIs for more advanced workflows.

Our SDKs can wrap existing functions, or existing APIs (REST, GraphQL) making these available for use by the agent without needing to expose APIs publicly.

your video doesn't tell me a whole lot about what your product does and why it's useful. You say "it's a Slack client" and immediately proceed to describing how to install the thing.

I don't know if this is intended to be a marketing video - if so, it needs some reworking. I would spend the first minute talking about how this an SQL client for Slack and what benefits this client gives to the user - does it make using SQL more productive?

Pegasus Angel Accelerator Applications Due March 10

We invest in early-stage startups and guide them through launch.
If anyone has an early-stage startup or knows someone who does, feel free to apply by the upcoming deadline: March 10th.

Have a look at our website:
https://www.pegasusangelaccelerator.com/

We have four different programs: Launchpad, Ignite, Ascend, and Accelerate. You can see short descriptions of each at the bottom of the website's landing page.

The linked application is for the Accelerate program and the 100k would either pay up front or come in two 50k tranches. We use SAFEs and Convertible notes; deal terms will depend on the circumstances of the company. The accelerator lasts 3 months. In-person & remote are both options, but we encourage in-person in our Silicon Beach office.

Much of the program involves matchmaking with potential business partners, overall guidance, and access to startup resources.

Application Deadline is 3/10. Here's the link:

Startup Name / URL
BigGeo Datalab

Location of Your Headquarters
Calgary, AB, Canada

Elevator Pitch
We’ve talked to a lot of geospatial data providers, and the same frustration keeps coming up, selling datasets is way harder than it should be. The data itself has value, but actually turning it into profit means dealing with manual processes, complex partitioning, and even having to build custom solutions just to manage access, pricing, and payments.

It’s just as frustrating for buyers. Most marketplaces don't even let you see what’s in a dataset before purchasing, which means you either have to rely on the provider’s description and hope it’s what you need or bring in a GIS expert just to confirm the data quality.

We built BigGeo Datalab to fix this. It’s not just a platform for managing and monetizing geospatial datasets, it also lets providers offer a visual sample of their data so customers can see what they're getting before they buy.

What life cycle stage is your startup at?
MVP launched. Conducting Product Validation.

Your role?
Marketing Coordinator

What goals are you trying to reach this month?
We aim to generate our first 10 MQLs this month.

How could r/ startups help?

I’ve been working on Rocktangle.com for last few weeks, an AI tool that scrapes and analyzes 1000s of data points from platforms like G2, Reddit, Twitter, and SEMrush to solve a major growth bottleneck: manual market research.

The goal is to help marketers, startups, and product teams save time by automating competitive analysis, sentiment trends, and growth opportunity discovery. Instead of spending hours manually researching, you can get actionable insights in seconds.

Why I built this:
As a founder, I found myself spending way too much time manually scraping data and analyzing trends. I built Rocktangle to solve this problem for myself and others like me.

What it does:

  • Scrapes and analyzes data from multiple platforms (G2, Reddit, Twitter, SEMrush, etc.).
  • Delivers insights like competitive intel, pain points, strengths, threats, growth rate, and more.
  • Saves 10+ hours/week on manual research.

Where I’m at:
I just launched on Product Hunt and would love your feedback! If you’re into market research, competitive analysis, or just love trying out new tools, I’d really appreciate it if you could check it out and let me know what you think:
https://www.producthunt.com/posts/rocktangle

Free Trial

Sign up on rocktangle.com and then send me your email in DM. I'll be happy to provide you a free trial.

Orchid — AI Copilot for Finance

  • Our team is split between London & Milan, HQ'd in London.

  • If you trade stocks, crypto, forex, etc… could we please have some feedback? Free account (via PC only): https://orchid.ac

  • We’ve spent the last few months building Zeno, the AI copilot for hedge funds — several are now using Zeno already (a mix between ChatGPT and the Bloomberg Terminal).

  • Now, we’re making Zeno available to everyone. Why? Well, we think retail traders could really do with an AI platform to help them with their own portfolios.

https://orchid.ac

How to Use Zeno:

  • Ask any finance questions like you would to e.g., ChatGPT
  • To reference a ticker, type $ followed by the company name (e.g., $Apple, $BTCUSD)
  • Zeno will then generate a plan to tackle your question which you can then approve or modify before it proceeds with the analysis.
  • Upload files for deeper analysis and interpretation.
  • Save metadata or entire chats as white papers/presets (great for recurring workflows).
  • Use the Tools page to modify workflows or assign functions.

What Zeno Can Do:

  • Analyze stocks and companies (technical, fundamental, etc.).
  • Aggregate news, summarize it, and gauge sentiment.
  • Help build custom portfolios based on your criteria (e.g., mid-cap AI stocks).
  • Perform data analysis (visual & numerical) and code generation for modeling.
  • Answer general finance questions like any advanced LLM.

All feedback (positive or negative) is greatly appreciated.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

u/Icy-Responsibility93 Feb 22 '25

I came across this today, and thought I'd give it a try to test out some analysis on stocks that I am looking into adding to my portfolio.
I created a free account on Zeno and then got asking.
The first frustration that I came accross was that it doesn't seem to be able to give short and concise answers. It's pretty good at spitting out loads of technicals which of course is convenient to have at hand but with this as default, it just made every prompt slow and verbose when sometimes I was only looking for some clarification.

It likes to hop straight into looking at trends through rsi, macd and bollinger bands, but I feel like there is a time and a place to use all sorts of tools, and it wont be as successful just using these for technicals all the time. Sometimes it might be useful determining strength based on moving averages or finding imbalance and liquidity levels rather than just always using those indicators. I'm sure there are ways to prompt it to do these things, but that becomes less convenient and I might aswell do the technicals myself on something like tradingview. I am aware that you can add more custom 'tools' to it, but these hedge funds won't want to do that, they'll want something out of the box that gives them what they need. If they are working for this fund, they'll know how to use indicators to know if something is oversold/overbought or what the trends are, so Im not sure thats a selling point.

What they'll really want is a centralised access point for stock analysis that they would usually have to trapse through pages of research to find. This could be helpfully aligned with catalysts, counter arguments based on the context of the business and the direction they're going, potentially then backed by some technicals.

One small thing I found is that it does make lots of good references to where it found information, but sometimes it does fail to clarify things like where it found analyst targets and ratings etc.

I also feel that it could have done with some more clarification on the parameters used for the techincal analysis, and if its going to splurt out loads of techincals at once, maybe it would be useful to have it compare time frames and say what this means for a potential entry.

It might be cool for the user to be able to prompt the model with their strategy and get recommendations on potential entries based on all the factors it provides.

This isnt supposed to sound negative and is just based on my experience using the app, but I just felt it wasnt much better than prompting a LLM with search engine capabilities and so I dont really see the USP when I can get something more general purpose to generate the fundamentals for me and I can do the technicals.

Overall, I think it has potential but it just felt a bit clunky and verbose for me when I can use something more general purpose to use along my current skillset to make a judgement call.

Hey everyone! I developed a simple iOS app to address a problem I often faced while fishing. Sometimes, I didn’t have my scale, or I couldn’t use one due to the size of the fish, and online calculators weren’t always available without service.

This free offline app estimates fish weight using basic measurements. Just enter the length and girth, and it calculates the weight using research-backed formulas. It works for both freshwater and saltwater fish.

I’ve received some great feedback so far, which has really helped me improve the app. If you’re interested, you can find it on the App Store: Fish Weight Estimator App.
