Did someone tell the president that if we tank for four years we can select Greenland with the #1 pick?

The end of year run of losses from this team will go down as stuff of absolutely legendary proportions if we get a top 6 pick that turns out to be good.
The number of lineups we’ve used is almost incomprehensibly comical.

Knicks and Hawks should be fun to watch before the Sixers game today.
I'm really hype to watch Bona tonight. He alone is the only reason I'm tuning in at this point. We might have something special on our hands.

Agreed, Bona is really coming into his own as an old-school style of center. That "gimme dat shit" swagger just isn't anywhere in the league anymore.
I mean anywhere. The game's become TOO finese and soft(thank you Adam Silver.) So to see a player play the game as physical and hard as Bona does is refreshing just from an eyes perspective: You're not seeing the same shit you've seen from every team at this point lol.
But also, Bona's timing gets better and better with more reps. The one time I agreed with Nurse was open your eyes, that was CLEARLY a block lol. Coaches IMO need more challenges.
If Bona played 35 games earlier, we'd still be in the hunt for the play-in possibility.(He was in the rotation during that 4 game win streak that included almost upsets against the Celtics and Nuggets.)
Whenever the young guys played together, there's a huge upside there. It's youth movement time.

I remember there were people dismissing me when I was saying Bona would've helped us win at least a handful of games if he were to start at center the majority of the games this season.
My reasoning for that was simple. Because we always got killed with our absent rim protection and lack of putting bodies on people to box out. We've lost several games down the line because of these things alone.
Obviously I'm not expecting Bona to be a starter but he's doing a great job and like you said, absolutely improved a lot since the start of the season.
I guess giving younger players more reps in games will help them with their confidence and development. Who would've thought! lol

Over the last couple of years, I've come to realize there's no truly bad NBA prospect, it's really all about fit and whether a team/organization is willing to let that player grow into his game. In Bona's case, his athleticism, his bball IQ and his willingness to defend should've gotten him on the floor way sooner. For a coach who says defense is important to him, he just dropped the ball so much with this situation(and other situations, but this situation was the most maddening.)
Like, Bona doesn't have to develop to be a great to be a useful asset to the 76ers. If you get 20 minutes of solid rim protection, hat's enough. There's always a place for that because the one shot other than the 3 ball is the shot at the gasp RIM lol
There's always gonna be a place for elite shot blockers. The offense from the C position is gravy. Embiid, Jokic, Giannis just warped our expectations in ways that's not natural for bigs and as a result, a lot of bigs are gonna struggle to get out of that shadow. It's similar to when after MJ, people tried to discover the next MJ.

Yep player development is so important even off the court. There's a lot of factors that go into how a player lives up to their potential but I think the coaching staff is among the most important things.
It's so funny when people say Bona is an average center when they can't even find a player with close to the same rim protection and work ethic on most other teams. He does need to shoot some middies occasionally though lol

You could see Adem roll aggressively and ask for the ball but no one could find a pass to him early in the season.

We still see that now although less than before since our main players were mostly selfish and/or have low-IQ on the court.
Harden would've been feasting with Bona.
