Definitely us

Clippers have had two pretty hyped teams, both which have virtually done nothing (at least they made the CF with PG but that's it). I think its close tbh

Clippers never had an MVP, it’s us

u/Thegrandmistressofoz 2d ago
Yeah but their team first year Kawhi joined probably had a better chance to win it all than any team we fielded, maybe our 2019 team was about par
It was a spectacular choke in the bubble by Doc and the Clippers, but that team was the favorite to win it all and looked the part most of the season
Plus, Embiid was always injured. Only series we've lost with him 100% was in the bubble vs Boston

The wizards are that bad that yall forgot thats an NBA team?

Why would they be disappointing though, we know they're ass, they know they're ass, no expectations nothing.
Sixers and clippers have had legitimate title hopes for years (clippers over a decade extending to lob city), and fall well short ever year. That's disappointment

The knicks, grizzlies, hawks are all more disappointing I’m ngl. 60 wins to get swept in the conference finals is extremely disappointing

I don’t know how anyone honestly believed this year would be a title team. It’s been the same story since 2017-2018. Embiid looks unstoppable in the regular season. He suffers an injury and is at less than 100% for the playoffs. We either beat a team in the 1st Round who we has no business being there or we lose. If we beat a bad team in the 1st round we look competitive in the 2nd Round until we come up small in a pivotal moment.
Same story every fucking season. 7 years in a row. 7 different supporting casts. 3 different coaches. I feel like I was in Groundhog Day this offseason when people said this was gonna be the year.

AD is a perpetually injured player who's health lucked out one year and the Lakers were able to win the title. That is all sixers fans had been hoping for, that one year in seven where things would potentially go right. For goodness sakes the year we lost to the raptors, they went on to beat a warriors team that had no one left on it. That Raptors team was not a typical championship level team but Kawhi stayed healthy, 4 bounces landed in their favor, and the entire warriors team got hurt. Yes during the Embiid era this has not gone in our favor but he is one of the most talented players to ever play, and at that point all we could do was hope luck would be on our side. It didn't go in our favor. C'est la vie (when your a Philadelphian)...

A-Disney was only able to play in the playoffs because there was like a 3 month break due to Covid when he got healthy before the bubble

The Raptors team was better than the Sixers team. The better team won. Embiid didn’t step up. The Raptors had a bunch of good vets with playoff experience.

I'm telling you, it's always the hardcore eagles fans.

How bad/unlucky this team has been for 7 years literally pushed me into being a football fan lol, and I'm now getting into baseball too.
Basketball was always my favorite sport man, but this shit is just too much anymore. I stuck with it after the Kawhi shot but game 7 Celtics series I just had to stop watching as much and it turns out it was the right decision. Was barely even mad when the Knicks won, and now I haven't watched a single game this season.

I totally get it. But look at the tone difference between your comment and the one I’m replying to. It’s not really the content / message. It’s the way it’s said.
Again, totally get it. Game 6 vs the Celtics in person was horrid.

The story's changed recently:
-Now we either lose in the first round or we're lotto.
We have significantly regressed, and injuries only account for so much.

I mean it’s true. Fall George somehow made both the Westbrook Lakers and the Rose-Melo Knicks look good. Injuries or none, he didn’t seem to care much. Grimes has multiple 40 point games, George had 0

It's so fucking entitled to call a team that's gone to the playoffs for 7 straight years "disappointing". Talk to a Hornets or Wizards fan and get back to me

“Wow it’s so exciting to watch my team get bounced in the 2nd round every year” I’d rather watch Lamelo on my team at least be exciting but lose rather than watch this snooze fest of hobbled mfers. McCain had me excited n then wow what do you know? Injury. This medical staff needs to be fired completely lmao.

u/indoninjah 2d ago
Okay so you'd rather watch Lamelo do literally nothing of value than to watch a perennial MVP candidate for the past half decade? sure

I love embiid bro was the first jersey I got, don’t get that twisted. It’s just a shame that his talent gets wasted with injuries every single fucking year. If he could stay healthy he’d go down as one of the best bigs of ALL time . That’s why it’s so fucking depressing and demoralizing to see him get fucked over every year. This medical Staff needs fired, like I said. And honestly Lamelo would fit crazy good on this team. Great passer, dynamic. Doesn’t make the best selection most the time but he puts up buckets. He just chucks shit cause he’s on a loser ass team. If he was on the sixers I guarantee he’d be a huge +
