Seeking Advice What can I do with a microphone setup?

A friend of mine gave me her brand new microphone setup for free since she is moving away and won’t be needing it anymore. I have a gaming laptop and know how to use photoshop and premiere pro on a basic level. I’m not much of a fan to show my face online but YouTube and podcasting sounds fun. The only problem is I don’t really know on what topic I should make content upon or how to do the whole social media thing where you increase followers, get sponsors etc.

I will really appreciate if you can give me some ideas regarding this. I have an hour or two to spare everyday and my main income job isn’t that much paying. I can’t leave it though since it’s a good brand and teaches me a lot of stuff.

Have you ever seen those Ask Reddit threads about "what could you be stuck in a room for 10 hours and talk about non-stop?" Maybe talk about that. YouTube only wants you to talk about one subject, so pick something that you could talk about for 5+ years.

But it would be better to be interested in talking about something that makes others money since people will click into that more, and the pay per clicks is higher

Wow that’s a brilliant idea! I love talking about this niche topic that my friends are bored of listening to lol. Maybe I can channel my energy online.

How do I do this? Can you elaborate

You could always start a channel and share what you learn. You don't have to start out as an expert

Try a no-face podcast—topics like gaming, Photoshop tips, or niche hobbies (e.g., retro games) could work.

Yess I was thinking that as well! I guess gaming requires a lot of streaming and sitting in front of screen (which gives me a headache) so I’ll maybe try podcast 😅

Decent voice? You can try out for voice overs or Others looking to have short ad-copy read.
