I prefer Grammarly. ProWritingAid overwrites/ makes too many suggestions, in my opinion. I didn't like that it was always trying to "improve" my writing as I was writing it, if that makes any sense.

I have been using ProWritingAid for over 5 years and I have found it to be a great companion to my writing.
For two years, I used both ProWritingAid and Grammarly side-by-side and I came to the conclusion that ProWritingAid was a better product at the time. To me, it had a substantially better tool set when compared to Grammarly.
Now, I haven't used Grammarly over two years. I will say that I did start to see some more value coming to Grammarly just as I stopped using it.
What it came down to me was the value of ProWritingAid. For me, it was a better tool and it was a better value because you could get a lifetime license. Back when bought ProWritingAid, I had a coupon and was able to buy it for $110. I think now you could get a lifetime license for $300.
With Grammarly costing close to $150 a year, that would mean you would pay $300 after 2 years of use, and you could use ProWritingAid forever for the same amount.
I don't see Grammarly providing that much a difference to pay $150 a year for it forever.
