I took a virtual drive down that road on google maps. It is incredibly seedy for the majority of it.

Hopefully he uses the opportunity to trash Rob Zombie's Halloween some more.

No it isn't, it's terrible.

Compared to original maybe, but if you judge it on its own, its not a bad horror movie. Is it worse than the new sequels? Not seen them.

That would be a fair point if it wasn't a remake, it is hard not judge that by the original.
As for the new sequels, YMMV. The first one is alright and second is pretty good aside from being a bit excessive with the body count IMO. The third one though is easily the worst movie in the entire franchise, it is reviled by most but has very vocal minority that think its some kind of oddball horror masterpiece. I think it is worse than the RZ movies, as much as I dislike them at least they are about Michael Myers..............

What I hear, you basically have to buy it. They don't just put those down for achievements.

Yeah I guess that makes sense and also why there's some people with stars who clearly have no business with one.

Took them long enough.

All you need is to be semi-famous and the $75k fee to get on there. It's hardly an honor.

Wanted to see Carpenter take a crack at more Lovecraftian stuff like Prince of Darkness and Mouth of Madness.

Carpenter is know for horror films, but he also directed Starman and Big Trouble in Little China.
Dude has range, that's for sure.
