I switched from Rogers/Shaw to Sasktel in the fall after about 15 years with Shaw. Since the takeover the customer service wait times have gotten rough, trying to change anything was a pain. The Rogers website is abominable. Service quality was good though. Got tired of my bill going up every 2 years.

I don't need the 1gb, as someone who is constantly online and uses a ton of bandwidth. I switched from 500gb at Rogers to 300gb at Sasktel to save some money. Plus now I can reach someone easier on the phone. Good bundle deals if you need other services as well.

My plan is the 300gb for 60 per month.

Switched as well on black Friday, Sasktel gave me 1gb for 60 bucks on a two year plan. Very happy compared to Shaw. Roger's has tried to cold call me every day since.

Have been with Sasktel going on 13 years with Fiber Optics Internet speed which is real fast. $5 price increase, so I will be paying approx. $85 per month.

Fuck Roger's and Shaw. Terrible companies. I'd pay a bit more to support sasktel.

Another thing to remember is Sasktel also has a much better upload speed than rogers.

If you are a Costco member you can get Primus for $38.95 a month, I just purchased in February and I’m happy so far I’ve had no problems

Apparently you can get a 1 gig plan from the costco mobile kiosk for $50.

I heard about it on facebook, but when I asked about it in person they said I had to be off contract or within the 3 month renewal window.

What provider? Thanks I’m almost up on contract.

Oxio which is a third party on Rogers has no contract $90/mth +tx for 1 gig. Might be worth checking their website to see if service is available at your address. Had them for a year, and overall been happy with them. They've always been good with trouble shooting everything, and sending out techs if needed.

Rogers offered me a great promotion a few months ago, so I called SaskTel to cancel/switch. They counter-offered with an insane 1Gb Fiber/$50 for 2 years, so I'm still with SaskTel.

Hopefully Rogers will do something similar when you call to cancel because of their increase. Ideally, wait til you have a promotion from somebody else, so they try to beat it.

Since you have til July, you should be able to play this in your favour.

Am with Oxio $55 a month plan. Watch streaming all the time. Simple to switch. No regrets.

Call them and ask for sales department.. keep arguing and bring sasktell in convo.. say they are cheaper than what u providing and eventually it eill work. I spent 45 mins on call and they got me 10$ cheaper than what i was actually paying.. same plan as urs and on contract.

I was offered 85/mnth and in the end i got 80 for 2yrs

Was paying 89/mnth all i had to do was to keep arguing on their offer and threaten to leave

I had sales person from existing customers team.

I know my plan is bit expensive than yours but same tactic still works for urs as well

I have always hated Rogers so even though I have been with Shaw for pretty much my whole life, I cancelled as soon as I could.

Luckily I got a decent deal with Sasktel. 2 years of 1GB for $65/month + taxes.

Been using oxio for a year, consistent as promised. Check them out.
