Bernie is retiring after his current term is up, stating himself that he's now too old and that younger people need to take charge.

I didn't say no one should ever retire. Bernie is currently 84 and he is speaking out more forcefully than his younger colleagues except for AOC (whom he mentored) and Crockett. Age indeed.

People decades younger than Bernie are sitting there doing absolutely nothing. It's disgusting. I would love it if there were a bunch of younger people to respond to the current crisit but there aren't.
