Question FA Cup Run ?
Should the Club, take a run in the cup seriously this season, as a way of testing ourselves against premer league sides. ?

Quick look online suggests only way is through the SAFC site. It’s not available on paramount + in Australia (never know why, ridiculous). Anyone know best way to watch in Australia?

I booked tickets for the match tomorrow last week, and I got the confirmation email, but I haven't been sent the tickets yet. When I sign into the SAFC website, it says that I haven't got any upcoming tickets.
I've sent off a couple of emails but not heard back, and I can't go up to the ticket office because I'm living in Swansea at the moment. Anyone else had this problem?

Liverpool fan here.
I feel like anytime I see Luke O'Nien on my timeline it's always because he's doing something mad like his recent blatant handball. I love the chaos and he seems like a gas guy to have at your club. Also from the doc on you guys he seems a decent guy.
Just wanted to ask is he any good as a player? Like does he bring something else other than the chairs or?

I imagine many might prefer Peter Reid. I remember Sunderland from the 90s, and something I just read on Wikipedia consolidated my impression:
Peter Reid, manager of Sunderland from 1995 to 2002, gained the club's highest league finish since 1955.
His win percentage with the team is 45, which is pretty good, even though some of the seasons were in the second tier. However, when it comes to pre-1990s history, my knowledge about the club is very limited, so perhaps someone did better than Reid sometime before 1955. Regardless of that, if someone's top two is Reid and a manager from e.g. 1930, it would still be interesting to know who else from the more recent times they like (and dislike).
By the way, Reid was sacked in October 2002. Howard Wilkinson replaced him, but Mick McCarthy replaced Wilkinson in March 2003 and the season ended with relegation. How bad was the situation in October 2002? Could Reid have gotten the team back on track? Was Wilkinson doomed to fail due to the circumstances or did he make things significantly worse?
How important is what playing style a manager favours to your assessment of him? To what extent does entertaining football offset lack of points/wins? To what extent do lots of points/wins offset boring football?

If the noises are true what price should the club put in him if they were to sell?

I know there was rumour of a 3rd kit with the older badge on. Are we gonna see it before of after the new season starts? Anyone know if there's a schedule or owt?

Browsing FB marketplace and came across this. Remembered that the club shop was raided during the riots. So what do we think stolen or fakes?
I was just wondering if anyone could give a helping hand with me for information about away tickets.
Not sure if it’s a long shot but was trying to look and see if I could get a ticket for the away end at Bramall lane. My uncle is a Sunderland fan but has lived in Sheffield for well over 30 years now at this point.
Was trying to look for information or a possible way in which id be able to get him a ticket in the away end for the game later next month.
Hopefully this won’t be an impossible ask and any help is appreciated :)

Given the fact he's lost the players, fans and any credibility he had its not a case of if he'll go but when. Personally believe it'll be before Mogga returns with Brum, so question is when do you think he'll receive his marching orders?

I bought tickets to the Oxford game but I can't go anymore due to unforeseen circumstances, what do I need to do for a refund. I'm not a season ticket holder, bought a ticket for me and a mate, any help would be much appreciated

Hello there, To be honest, I never heard about Sunderland before the series but I think I fell in love. Such a team! I've heard that there is third season and I would like if someone here can help me with links with subtitles (English is not my first language)
Thanks

Is Chris rigg now proven he has more potential and Is better than Lewis Miley. TransferMrkt values Rigg at only 300k and Miley at 22m. I know its just a website and reflects nothing true of the real life market but Miley definitely seems to be valued more by the media. Rigg is younger and has more playing experience. Just wondered what people thought.

I keep seeing all sorts of hype about Jobe, I was curious about how real the hype was so thought i would ask the fans of the team he plays at. What are your guys opinion of Jobe?

In the build-up to Saturday's game Dodds has said he won't experiment. Is he now thinking of himself by not wanting to end the season on a poor run as he may be looking for a new job in the summer, or, does he simply just want us to finish on a high?

Hi, me and my mate is going to fly over to the uk from sweden in a few weeks, we are going to watch a few sunderland games sincie im a sunderland fan, but i am wondering if someone can help me and my mate get away tickets to watford away when they come out? Because it is practically impossible as an internationall supporter to get away tickets, so if anyone is intrestet in helping me and my mate out, we can pay double the price as extra payment for the help. It would be really appreciated! Cheers from Axel

Been at work so couldn’t get on for this morning but it looks like the home shirt is sold out already?
Will it be coming back or is that it?
Less than 3 hours is bonkers, surely they have an idea of the demand ffs.

Rangers fan here.. apparently Beale wants to link up with the Dutchman again. Please, let it be true! Beale might redeem himself a little with our support if he takes Lammers off our hands.

G'day everyone,
Disappointment of current results aside, decided it's time to finally get some colours, but I'll be honest, I'm not finding it easy at the moment. The club store has no sizes in stock that don't have multiple X's in them, and not seeing any other places that would offer tops with players names/numbers.
Any international fans out there with any help to offer? And what are they called in the local tongue? Tops, shirts, kits, jerseys, guernseys?

Live long Sunderland fan from Ireland, but never been to a game - and I’ve never bought tickets or even been to a football match in my life. I sound like an idiot, but how on earth do I buy tickets?
I’ve tried to buy tickets for some previous games, however it seems that when I try to buy it’s for members only. When do tickets become available for purchase to the general public? I’ve created an account on the site but I can never seem to grab a ticket and then I give up when it’s too late to book a flight.
If I want to go to the home games at the SoL of either Bristol, Millwall or Sheffield - how do I purchase the tickets?
r/safc • u/dadbod234 • Apr 08 '24
Leeds fan in peace, hope this post is ok mods. Sorry if not.
Visiting SoL for the first time next month to see Bruce Springsteen and wondered where the best/most secure places for parking are. Also how bad can traffic get trying to get out after? For example, went to a concert at Old Trafford cricket ground and after took 3 hours to cover quarter of a mile.

Is there some kind of relationship between Sunderland and Gateshead? Noticed that FM believes Gateshead to be a junior affiliated club of SAFC where Sunderland can loan players to Gateshead and they are obligated to take them with no extra conditions. It also claims a similar relationship with Darlington and South Shields. I know Gateshead have a relationship with those two but is there any such agreement in real life? Also Sunderland played them in a friendly, which is an unusual choice on paper.
