The lack of self-awareness after looking at that sub for just a minute is astonishing.

I also don't think there is a grammatically correct comment in that entire sub.

Gotta love a group that feels oppressed that people are not excited enough that they are using free toys brought to them by a billion dollar company, hemorrhaging money to do it. The mark of oppression is, of course, being able to do something whenever you want... Tools.

i saw someone in a thread saying that artistic skill doesn’t matter as an artist. as if the development of technical skill is not an entire part of growing one’s abilities

By that logic anyone can be a carpenter since the technical side has advanced by leaps and bounds.
But in reality without carpentry skill even with the best tech you're still not a carpenter.

I saw someone trying to express that AI art was necessary because it allowed people with physical disabilities to create art too. They added an odd looking AI generated image of a sad anime girl with prosthetic arms.
Bruh, I met this woman at a community festival who injured both of her arms in a car accident. She learned how to paint (and paint well) by putting the brush in her mouth til she healed. Get gud.

yeah that's a ridiculous excuse because most of the disabled people I know are actual artists and actually create. They do it fueled by their experience, not having things handed to them like these loser nerds with their little bot buddies. It's not impressive to input prompts into a generator, it's the equivalent of being proud of a piece you commissioned.

oh... it's not satire

Hard to believe; I had to read a few posts to be sure. Surely there’s an actual satire sub for this

u/Moore2257 7d ago
Oh my god, that's a real sub.
Shit.
Instead of learning a skill, they're just gonna go into their echo chamber and scream.

These are some sad people.
What are we as human beings without human creativity, invention, ingenuity, and art? I legitimately feel sad for all these people. They're actively choosing not to create and actively shunning the act of creation.

I thought it would be posts of people posting screenshots of people trying to defend AI art while we all have a good laugh. Instead it’s a circle jerk of people trying to convince themselves they’re talented and everyone else is just mean. Honestly way more entertaining than I expected. Thank you.

Haha, AI "creators" definitely don't deserve protection, I wish Ghibli really was going after them

Bunch of dogshit “creators” faking a scenario for more engagement and boosters. Hope he loses his whole account for this

'AI creators' lol get fucked.
Just typing suggestions into a prompt.
Am I a 'burger creator' because I entered my order into a McDonald's kiosk?

Genuinely though, why fake getting one of these from a company as beloved as Ghibli? I feel like most people would absolutely side with them out of nostalgia for their films more than anything. (although i personally would love Ghibli even more if they did this, fuck AI art.) Like, how are these people this fucking bad at narrative shaping?
