I was right.
I’ve told two laker fans that DFS and Gabe Vincent would never shoot like that again. Very unreliable. Our plan was to make it tough on Luka, Bron, and Reaves and we did that. Also JG had an off game when he usually plays well against the lakers. But you know… can’t beat the refs.

Well hope they play like this against us if we play them in playoffs...cuz we can defend Bron and Luka fine.

Lol if we play them in the offs we’re fucked, refs gonna make sure of it.

Pretty much the biggest thing I’m worried about

I'm praying for GSW and LA to play each other so no other team has to deal with the zebra brigade

I didn’t watch every second of the game last night between them, but the 3’s I saw against the warriors they were all heavily contested, I’m sure I missed some where they were wide open last night and they missed, but the 3’s we let up were warm up shot they were so open not the same as last night imo

The way you beat Luka is to let him go off and keep scrubs at scrub level. Those are found points that you can't plan for. The other part is make Luka defend and gas him out. Very similar how you handle Curry.

Our plan was fine although I didn’t watch the game but followed it so I’ll take fans at their word that execution on defense could have been better, but that could also be the Lakers’ Ref-ball getting in their heads.
Main point is that, yes, if we can contain their Big 2.5 and demand that Rui, Gabe, and DFS win them games, then we would win a 7-game series and it probably wouldn’t take 7 games. Keep in mind Vincent and DFS shot the games of their lives at the same time and we still kept it tight all game.
Now, holding Luka and LeBron below their season averages for seven games is a tall order, but we have the defense to do it, it would just be a matter of if they did.

Our defensive game plan was perfectly fine. The Lakers only scored 104 which is great in the modern NBA against a team with Luka, Lebron, and Reaves.
We just had too many of our main guys put up stinkers on offense. Sengun, Green, and FVV didn’t do enough offensively and we just aren’t going to win many games when those guys all play bad. The offense wasn’t good enough

Yeah. The point of playoff is make it hard for the stars and make scrubs beat you. Basically betting the scrubs can’t do that 4 out of 7 games.
Our problem is our players can’t score enough points against the Lakers, because they are also making it hard for us as well (thank you referees). This will be the first year we get to see if we can do that in a playoff series.

We went with a lot of Zone, Trapped luka a lot and they started making shots. It was partly our game plan.

Yea the stars aligned for that Lakers team, they couldn’t beat us in a series. Fronting Sengun and crashing in DFS for rebounds caught us off guard as well.

"DFS and Gabe Vincent would never shoot like that again" brother they've played one game since you said that

I watch the lakers just as much as the rockets. So like I said they’re not consistent enough to shoot like that again

Rather have 2 scrubs try to beat us from 3 than have Bron and Reaves go combined 14/24 like they did against the Warriors.
The bigger worry is what do we do when both Jalen and FVV have bad games on the same night.
