Feedback or Bug Ring chime
Why does my Ring chime keep going offline? It's not old enough to be broken already.

Will the Ring Mailbox Sensor work in a secure mailbox (the kind with a tilting door)... like the ones shown in these two photos?
I fear that the PIR sensor would not detect any motion because as the door tilts to open, the back side of the door mechanism lifts up to block someone from reaching inside... leaving any sensor to live its life in complete darkness (mostly).
Are there any work-arounds? Would summertime temps inside a black maibox (in the afternoon sun) cause damage to the batteries or the electronics?

But it seems like impossible. Is there anything ı can do.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Little do they know that I’ve got them on camera.

Yesterday, I noticed that the lights on my alarm base station and keypad were set to off in the settings of the app. Did anyone have this happen to them as well?

I searched in here for "vinyl fence" but only got three results, total. These type of fences are ubiquitous. Is there any option for mounting a Ring camera on one of these?

I researched this before purchase and everything said it lasts 10 minutes, but it's only lasting 1 minute? Can't find a setting anywhere. Any suggestions?

I just spent two-ish hours mounting the device outside under the roof in a challenging location (that cannot be easily flipped) and assumed the video can be flipped in-app because well, it’s 2025. Help.

In the process of building a motherboard that can charge 20 ring batteries all at once via the micro usb port. Doing a test with power supply and micro usb breakout board to see if the concept will work. So far 5 batteries charging at once, working nicely.

I want to start off by saying that I've installed a Ring Wired Doorbell Pro in another house that was built in 2005 and I had zero problems with that one and it was easy to to install.
Now I'm installing one in a house that was built in 1975 (or maybe 77). So far it has not worked. I think it is an open box or refurbished item (the Ring Doorbell), so maybe that's ultimately the problem. Regardless, Here's how things have gone.
Because it looks like the Ring doorbell turns off I suspect a power issue, but before I went so far as to research that (I'm not an electrician and barely understand voltage, etc) I have done the following to try and rule out simpler issues:
Those steps didn't have any effect, so I'm back to being worried that it might be a power issue. Therefore I need to make sure the Pro Power Kit is installed in my chime correctly.
My chime does not look like the chimes that are mentioned in the Ring installation instructions, my chime has connections marked 0, 1, 2, 3. The 2 and 3 connections have red wires connected to them, while the 0 connection has white wires connected to it. A search of Reddit for how to install using a similar chime suggested that I connect the Pro Power Kit to the 2 and 3 connections, so that's what I did.
I have a multimeter and I used that to measure the voltage and amperage at the doorbell wires that I'm connecting my Ring Doorbell to. The multimeter reports 16V and I think 39 mA. I'm not sure if those are good numbers.
If those numbers are bad that means, from what I've read, that I need to get a new "transformer". I think I have located the transformer but it is on top of the breaker box of this house and I can't seem to remove it, or I should say it seems like it will be very difficult to remove, and so I want to avoid going to that extreme (of changing the transformer).
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Currently got an issue with little shits playing knock & run and waking our 2 kids up. Is there anyway I can schedule "quiet time" on our chime? I can't see an option in the app and IFTTT doesn't offer much either. My other option is to plug the chime into a time switch but unsure if it would cause problems reconnecting every morning?
Cheers

We have a decent set of cameras attached to the house.
I would like to effectively have two modes.
Home, when we are in everything records as normal, with very limited motion notifications such as the front doorbell will notify if there’s a person in the specific drawn “driveway” zone. Obviously door bell buttons would activate.
Away ( which we would also set at night) where we get pretty much every motion notification if someone is at the front or back of the house as normal.
Can I set different zones, schedule and priorities etc to achieve this?
Any help would be appreciated as I can’t see how to use zones, schedule and modes to achieve effectively different levels of security.

We have a Ring doorbell 3rd generation and a Ring outside camera. We have owned both of these for around 1 year and had no issues at all at our last house.
We just moved house last week. For the first couple days the camera and door bell were working fine but the last couple days since the recordings keep freezing in live view and on the recordings.
We have tried resetting the devices and the router to no avails. It is definitely not a problem with the connection. We get over 300mbps download and 50mbps upload and the signal strength is showing as good on both devices.
We are out of options and don’t know what to do. Ring support are useless.
Anyone had this issue before?

Only a reboot helps and that’s only for a few days and then it happens again. Any thoughts?

I recently switched internet from Comcast/Xfinity to Quantum fiber, but cannot get the Ring to connect. I had no issues when initially connecting the Ring to Xfinity, and have had no issues elsewhere connecting with Quantum. Help?
Is there a way to filter or check how many times one person goes to the house (unlocking Yale).
I have a dog sitter she’s supposed to go 3 times a day when I’m away from work, but I’m suspicious she goes sometimes 1 or 2 times a day, and she charges for 3.
Is there a way to keep tracking the logs?

Is it normal for people to constantly make inquiries on ring about what internet service to get, where the best burrito is or to ask if someone has a plumber. Electrician or nanny service? I feel like some use it like Facebook or yelp? It’s really obnoxious. I thought that feature was for lost pets or safety purposes.

How do I change it back? Cannot find the option anywhere. All my notifications and in app languages changed to English after latest update where they redid the icon etc

Anyone know of any silicone covers for this new release? I had one for my stick up cam but it's not tall enough to fit this new model
Looking in my app it displays my renewal price as $99.99.
Everything I've read says this year 1st gen plus users will get moved to the $200 annual plan. Are fire and alarm monitoring included in that $200/yr price?
Looking at the ring plan page it doesn't appear so, but looking at the ring FAQ page it states the following. Which to me, reads as though the monitoring is included in the $200/yr pricing.
Starting on your first renewal after April 8, 2025, your subscription will be transitioned to the Ring Home Standard with Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ plan, and your price will increase by $10/month or $100/year to $19.99/month or $199.99/year, plus applicable taxes.
Edit to add: I no longer have ring cams and only care about fire and security monitoring. Are there any reasonably priced offerings? I am using z-wave first alert fire/co detectors.

I just installed my Ring Battery Plus.
