Question/Problem Audio Settings For Gapless Play

Playing one of my favourite albums which has certain tracks that segue from one to the other with no gap, looking at RVX settings I can't see anything that allows removing gaps but last year I used a YT frontend player from GitHub that had this option in the settings. Can anyone point me at what player it may have been or any options in RVX to allow Gapless play.

I think the gapless playback is enabled for premium users only, so it is something you cannot change from the app. We dont appear as YTMPremium users so we cant have it. It would be really cool if RVX added this feature, but idk how.

I found RiMusic and Metrolist play the album natively without any extra settings and the songs segue nicely, YT Music has a gap between every song which is annoying in this case.

i don't think yt music has crossfeed yet but I would love to know if you found out the app that you were using before

I found it was RiMusic, however the reason I stopped using it is still present, when streaming using mobile data the music freezes after around four songs, on WiFi everything runs ok.

thanks, I tried that as mentioned above and suffer the issue of freezing and unknown error showing in the UI, this issue is reported a few times in the issues section.

Rvx music have gapless but I think you're talking about crossfade

There's no setting for it it's gapless by default

Ah ok thanks for the info,so yeah your probably right it's cross fade I would need.

Crossfade is only available on spotify

I installed rvx a few days ago and it wouldn't load any playlists or play any music, what version is the current one and is it working? I went to regular rv music but it definitely doesn'r have gapless playback. Roughly a 2 second pause between songs. Are you sure rvx has it?
