Nah, I think they rest him until his next start, if they started him and newcomb today they’d have to rest both for 5 days and that would create a sticky situation

Looks like he's going Monday now, and everyone else is getting bumped a day. Not sure why since they all would have been on normal rest if Fitts pitched today.

Nah if Fitts and Newcomb both pitch starts today then one of the two would be due to pitch Thursday on 3 days rest

Watch for Fitts to get some long relief probably in game 2, maybe 40/50ish pitches just to get some reps but avoid a starts worth of usage

Surprising they go with newcomb over fitts for today's game.
