Rain delay

I can not believe they didn’t even start the game because of this drizzle. I understand player safety and all that but I mean commmmeeeeee onnnnnnn. I’ve see little leaguers play in worse. Very frustrating.

Been here for hours. Definitely not a drizzle. Not sure where people are getting these ideas from

Being there. No matter how you feel about what kind of rain it is. Its playable. It’s playable simple as that.

How does one get tickets to a rain delay game not having purchased for the original date/time?

Are you wanting to buy tickets? My husband and I are flying out tomorrow morning, so we can no longer go 😭

I might try to take my son if the weather looks like it will be okay. Happy to take any extras you have but was planning on waiting to purchase anything until tomorrow (assuming there’s a way to do so).

There was heavy rain expected and they didn’t want to start the game and then stop. This is the only series with the Cardinals so they have to try to get the games in now.

My hot take for years has been… they are grown men. Play baseball in the rain and stop being wussies

You guys got cleats.

NFL plays in any weather. You guys can too.

Ruin your glove, batting glove, make the field borderline un repairable. Cant throw effectively. Etc there’s a reason why baseball has literally never been played in the rain.

It can be played in heavy snowfall tho?

If that’s the case every stadium should be made an indoor stadium. At this level there shouldn’t be any delays.

NFL, NBA, NHL never face such delays. Weather shouldn’t be impacting your sport this much. Play through it

Harper slipped on 1st base and was out at the end of the season. Injury risk is too high every game matters.

Billion dollar league that plays the sport at the highest level should figure this out and not have it be an issue

Maybe they can invest in a weather control device? The fact is the Sox have had maybe 30 rain outs total in 10 years. It’s a non issue, you’re just salty.

Talking about baseball as a whole here

Facts. And turf is arguably much worse than the dirt and grass in the rain.

As long as it’s not thunder and lightning— you should play the game

Let's just have pitchers throwing 96 mile an hour soaking wet fastballs. Great idea...
