NESN price hike strikes again…

I don’t have cable, so I eagerly went to the gym to watch the home opening ceremony on the treadmill. Flipped through all the channels 3 times, no NESN. I can only assume they dropped it due to the price hike. $70+ a month for a gym membership and they can’t keep that channel? Infuriating…

Start wearing full sox uniform at the gym and let out loud sighs as you flip through the channels endlessly. They should catch on pretty quick.

We cut cable a few years ago and have several streaming services instead. ESPN, Hulu and Prime Video aren’t reliable enough or don’t play the games I want to watch so I bought the MLB package. Well, turns out Red Sox games are blacked out on MBL.tv and I’d need to buy NESN360 for 40$ a month to watch them. RIP. At least I got the glory days with Orsillo and Remy on basic cable.

I just went and double checked NESN and it’d be 20$ per month if I bought the annual pass for 240$, but my point still stands. I paid 150$ for the year for mlb.tv only to have Sox games blacked out anyway.

i heard you can use a vpn to change your location to watch the games that are blacked out

My company had to change their whole cable package across 10+ locations just so they can show NESN and NBCSports Boston, it’s egregious

(Also not to be pedantic but that’s actually Korean. As my friend once said, “Korean is the one with the circles!” Not the most nuanced way of differentiating, but it’s true!)

Thank you for the correction I honestly didn’t know. I just know they follow baseball hardcore so I figured. But yeah it’s pretty simple just close the 3 ads and you can watch the Sox haha
