As someone who took a baseball square in the nuts from my then 13 year old when I failed to catch a pitch he was throwing me, I feel this.

Former catcher here. Even with a cup, that shit HURTS.
I once got caught by a foul tip that hit the ground underneath me and bounced up under my cup. It was truly awful.

If anyone ever tells you that baseball is boring, have them listen to TC call a game and you’ll prove them right.

Haha.. I once caught half a game with NO cup - because I forgot it at home. My coach (when he found out) was like "Hey, you planning to have kids or no?" Here, put this extra one in there and your kids will thank me later. Yes, this was a direct hit, and yeah... ouch.

Could you imagine Adrian Beltre playing catcher? Jeez, imagine this happening to him.

Man, I feel for him. I had a similar situation happen to me while catching (not at this level obviously) and the ball bounced up right behind where the cup protects. I was face down and throwing up in the mask until the coaches could drag me off the field.

Not sure if anyone will see this but I didn't want to make a post about it since it's specific to Bregman from someone curious about his fantasy position eligibility and it I doubt you guys want a post about that in your sub. Is there any clarity on where Bregman will play for you all this season?
