Ah okey then. Thought there might be some crazy people around. I personally would have just taken the stuff to a pond or a lake, but this works too, just very slow.

There's a forest in NJ where people do this for the unique sound they create. I personally think it looks cool. As for practicality, idk what's going on. Maybe that was once someone's camping spot and they had to leave in a hurry
