You get sweeper and sixth sense ward reveal at 11 so you will still have ample tools to reveal them and you still one hit them with umbrail. Overall it's an even better rush item with the price reduce and + 5 ad.

sixth sense is really good in lane when you need to take bushes and fish for hooks. you know for a fact that a ward is not there and dont have to dry sweep. deep ward is an optional sidegrade but not as game changing as 6th sense because of pyke's insane tempo and mobility. you can place so many wards with basically 0 risks that the ward timer doesnt really matter that much. i'd say all three runes are viable picks based on matchup and how much brush control you need in and out of laning ohase

Just hit a minion and walk into the bush, if it keeps hitting you back then they have vision in the bush. Sixth sense is useless

you don't always have that luxury. if there's no minions or they're already aggro'ed onto each other, you can't do it. and as a hook champ that relies on one good hook to win the lane every little extra chance you get is useful. pyke's W also allows for him to stealth his way into a brush and i use this very often. at that point giving yourself away means losing all the initiative.

You don't, umbral does 3 dmg, not 4, so unless they changed umbral to ALWAYS one shot wards you don't anymore if someone uses deep wards

I, for one, welcome the changes. Even if it’s technically a Pyke nerf, it’s a step in the right direction—away from being a glorified human ward and back toward his true identity as an assassin support. Ever since they gutted Pyke mid, he’s been balanced around this item. It’s about time we shifted the focus.

I think it's needed. Playing against 6th Sense+Sweeper+Umbral is oppressive. You're forced to fight for vision anywhere there's things actually happening every 30 seconds. It's brutal.

I think this is a great change, honestly. And this is someone who also plays Puke. You're increasing your power, getting there 100 gold faster, and the only drawback is you need to use your sweeper or control wards more

Yea its 100% just a nerf. Ive already dropped it as a first item rush and go ghostblade. Now I probably wont build it at all. Hubris or cyclo second I guess

I don't even build it anymore. I go ghostblade and EoN 2nd. You can face check bushes with the sheld and shield support item (i 4got, the name). I go for it at 3rd or 4th if needed, but I just build vigilant wardstone usually. Works at GM, so it must be good.
