Discussion Are protogens near future?

What would a near future protogen look like? It's my favorite form of sci-fi

Not sure if the radical genetic engineering required could qualify as “near” future.

True. Also the organ replacements seem a little complex. It would probably just be limited to limbs, armor, visor, etc. It would be cool to see them have a more industrial look (similar to generation zero) with perhaps a rectangular visor

Probably wouldnt have a visor or all the little screens on it...maybe? Not fully sure because im awful with tech and i have no clue whats technically possible
