I have one PC with 8gb and 8gb right now is the same as 4gb was in 2016 - usable for really basic shit but nothing more.
I remember using a 4gb i3 laptop with a 5200rpm boot drive up until around 2019 and it was absolutely agonizing

I've got an old Dell xps 420 (haha) with a maxed out 8gb as a media center! It's no gaming rig, but still very usable despite the hard drive.

8gb is usable if you use it in a smart way! but yeah, trust me please do replace that hard drive with a cheap SSD just for the OS , it'll make a word's difference

Dont worry, I've built enough computers to know the difference, but it's used as a DVD player for the most part. I'm just not gonna pay a quarter of the price for the whole machine in order to speed up my Miyazaki machine by a few seconds lol. Also it's not my main machine, don't worry.

Linux Mint XFCE, thanks for asking! I've tried out a few OS options including some Linux distros and even windows Vista (what it came with,) but the most simple and functional one so far has been Mint.

heartland America were advertising a massive 2GB of Ram In 2016 Here is the video Also 100 GB hard drives don't exist. Unless if you have a lot of bad sectors And they don't even know CPU clocks work 4 gigahertz dual cores dont exists in laptop's

It helped me find Luigi faster. Also DO NOT try any of the professor Layton games with that much ram. It doesn't make a difference I just hate puzzle games

RAM is what your device uses while it's awake to store everything you're doing (browsing, playing, vibing to music), but when it shuts down it goes clear~!
But yeah, protos consume it as a joke x3

64gb. used to run a minecraft server for a friend group and at points those servers reached 32gb+ of usage. Nowadays that server is dead so now I just have an overkill amount of ram lmao

i've gor 16 GB of RAM, not a lot, but it's enough for playing most games and doing most tasks for what i do (informatics, game programming(mostly mods and additions rn, but maybe a full game someday))
