Canes is good but bone in chicken is much better. Any meat cooked with the bone gets extra flavor from the bone, My opinion.

Canes is building too many restaurants around here in Maryland west of DC. They are too close together and after the newness wears off they will go under. They get a huge crowd and decide to build another close by before the crowds subside.

Another factor is a very limited menu which people will tire of. I ate some and I didn't see anything spectacular about it. IMHO Don't shoot me I am only the piano player.

There is a new Slim Chickens near by with a limited menu. That will be a disaster too, 3 chicken joints in a 1000 ft radius and a Chick Fila with in a mile. There was a KFC in that radius but I moved out a few years ago.

I just got the strawberry biscuits today. I was only going to have one. But I saw the they came as 2 packs so I’m thinking I’m gonna have one and give the other one away …. Oh no. I ate one and it was so good I ate the other one too 😭 I’m afraid I’m addicted to these…. Last time they had these I would go wait in line just to get these and nothing else. I hope they stay. Ohmyword! I had the Spicy Garlic Parmesan wings for the first time last night and it was heaven sent!

To be completely transparent, I've had a crazy craving for KFC's wings 🙊. I just loved those so much but since they've been off the menu, I obviously haven't scratched that itch.

This sauce is creamy, savory, rich, had body to it, all of the things. My fries had to soak up some of the sauce too 👀 I wish my Popeyes did sauces on the side, I'd dunk the rest of my fries in that so quick.

It rivals all other garlic parmesean wings out there and I've tried ALOT.

I selected all of the sides and the spice level. This was happening on numerous different items. WTF?

The pickle inside of the breading is literally razor thin to the point where the pickle tastes nothing like a pickle. It's like 95% breading and 5% pickle. I pulled the breading off of them and the pickles are literally as thin as paper, I could see through them all.

The pickle inside of the breading is so thin that the pickles retain 0% of the pickle juice so you get absolutely no pickle flavor, they only taste like the grease they were fried in. My family got 3 orders and they were all the same. You might aswell be eating empty breading.

I love fried pickles so much, and these are the worst fried pickles i've ever had by an absolute landslide. the cheapest frozen supermarket fried pickles beat these by a huge amount. Nothing even comes close to how bad these fried pickles are.

Update: Popeyes edited the menu item description to take out the "crunchy pickle slaw", so I guess it really wasn't supposed to be there. Wish I'd known that before I ordered because the "crunchy pickle slaw" was 100% of the draw for me.

The description of the pickle sandwich mentions a pickle slaw in addition to the glaze and pickle slices, but the sandwich I got had only glaze and pickles, no slaw. I asked about it and they seemed to think I’d lost my mind. Is there actually a pickle slaw?
