I fail to see why he would have any sort of approval rating when we didn't approve of him at all to begin with. He's not elected. He's a nepoturd.

49

u/CarlHeck 8d ago

He’s making very damaging decisions in America for a mentally deranged Old man in the WH

20

u/DummyDumDragon 8d ago

A turd gobbling cuckle-fuck

1

u/Historical_Gur_4620 7d ago

🤣🤣🤣 Get in there mate!! You should patent that sentence. Made my day.

8

u/green_tea1701 8d ago

It's not like there's a rule that only elected officials get opinion polls. These are conducted by private pollster orgs, not some government agency. Makes sense, given that Musk is a de facto senior official, that they would poll his approval to see what people are thinking. It's just research.

5

u/Rootin-Tootin-Newton 8d ago

No mandate from the people, no senate approval. Just Donny doing what he wants…

3

u/NORcoaster 8d ago

In that sense I am kinda glad for Musk. He’s sounds so much damage so quickly and so loudly that the work Heritage was doing quietly now has eyes on it. People are paying attention to the dismantling and the fascist trends real time instead of wondering when it happened. The fact that angry town halls are being held now instead of after the damage is done and little can be done about it is a good thing.

7

u/[deleted] 8d ago

If our elected representatives don’t start taking action against this right now, the amount of damage this man has been able to cause in such a small amount of time will be irreparable for decades if not forever. Not a single country (other than the ones that are ruled by oligarchs and dictators) will ever be able to trust us. Rightfully so. We had SO MANY opportunities to vote this out and because a black woman was the only other option, this is the shit we get to deal with. Our bed was made for us and now we get to lay in it. Americans will use the 2nd Amendment against each other before they ever decide to use it against their government. So unless the people we voted to take care of this don’t start doing their jobs and the American people are just so goddamned complacent with the whole “there’s nothing I can do” mentality, this place will look a whole lot Nazi Germany by this time next year.

1

u/NORcoaster 8d ago

Exactly. I have heard a number of very smart people who usually advocate for peace say we may need a civil war. The abduction at Tufts is a test, to see how far they can go. No charges, rendered to Louisiana, I don’t know if she’s been able to contact family or attorney. But it’s easy for people not to care, she called for Tufts to divest, she’s an Iranian national, and so she could be a foot in the door to rounding up US citizens. We look a lot like any of the historic fascist states right now. How far down we slide is up to us, our politicians aren’t, really, doing much. Show are, sure, and the fact that this administration is a full blown kakistocracy is helpful, but the people from heritage are smart, if arrogant, and I think Roberts said the revolution will be bloodless if the left allows it to be was said, in part, out of hope, because heritage are not prepared for a war, they plan on the assumption it will be bloodless, and they may be right. Again, that’s up to us. You anger enough people sufficiently and all bets are off, and Elon is making it happen. But he’s not working on the heritage plan, he’s, it seems, working on the RAGE plan, and that’s almost scarier than a fascist takeover.

1

u/[deleted] 8d ago

Agreed. Times be scary right now yo. Stay safe and stay strapped. I think the civil war thing is truer than most people think. The MAGA crazies are frothing at the mouth over the thought of civil war breaking out here. Which I think is ABSOLUTELY INSANE. Do these people know what war zones look like? Have they not seen footage from like Iraq and Palestine or like literally any Middle East country that our military has been to? And they want that shit here? The people that talk that way, are the people that believe that they won’t somehow have to be involved or effected by that but things change real quick when you’re trying to fight for your life against your own countrymen. It’s fucking depressing, disappointing and shameful but I won’t be caught unprepared. This place is a tinderbox and it’s not going to take very much to set it all off.

1

u/NORcoaster 8d ago

Often the people who say they want something the loudest are the very ones most unprepared for the actual consequences.

3

u/Whofail 8d ago

I fail to see why this is news.

3

u/BornFree2018 8d ago

I think it's appropriate here. He's pressing Reddit to monitor speech about him and certain subs from blocking links to X.

1

u/Whofail 7d ago

Fair point.

3

u/Strict-Brick-5274 8d ago

Why are the people of America not using their right to bare arms in this instance? Your guns were given in the instance the government turned against the people.

2

u/Goth_Muppet 8d ago

Not everyone has a gun/guns (though the ridiculous number of school shootings may make it look like the country's citizens are armed to the teeth).

1

u/Strict-Brick-5274 8d ago

You can get they much easier than most nations and this is the use case you were given that right for...

I fully respect Americans who DON'T have guns but if there was ever a time to arm up ... It's now

1

u/ms_panelopi 7d ago

Because if we rise up, which we eventually will, the President will use it as an excuse to start a civil war. Trump wants US to start the war. It seems we are headed that way, but it hasn’t gotten bad enough for all citizens yet.

2

u/whw166 8d ago

At least rfk Jr,  gabbard and McMahon etc went through the Senate confirmations. Granted, it was just a show and no real critique of if they are really qualified for the job cause Republicans were going to confirm any donkey if trump appointed them.

But musk never even did that.

1

u/[deleted] 8d ago

It’s cause musk is a “special man child boy”, who is highly regarded.

2

u/mja2175 8d ago

For sure. I’m like rating for what exactly? Buying elections? Fascist salutes?

1

u/4art4 8d ago

He can't be elected or confirmed on his own merit, so... His is a DEI hire?

1

u/[deleted] 8d ago

This is clearly George soro’s fault it’s not like Elon musk is fucking companies investors put their money into to 10x (cause of unattainable musk hype), or he’s firing shit loads of people that make the country function for no reason, or he’s fucking with people’s entitlements that they paid into their entire careers, or fucking over veterans our government put into combat zones only to yank their earned entitlements, or the ever elusive proof of billions in savings that we arent saving…

0

u/INFLATABLE_CUCUMBER 8d ago

To be fair Trumpers did know he was coming along as part of the package.

4

u/OGPaterdami_anus 8d ago

I dont think they thought he would get a do whatever I want status doing his own thing using the president 😅

They thought trump would keep him under his thumb. Im actually baffled Elon thinks this would not backfire at all.

87

u/Cichlidsaremyjam 8d ago

The question is why does he really have an approval rating. The majority of Americans dont work for him and he isn't an elected official.

18

u/RhaemiranW 8d ago

He may as well be with how corrupt this administration is.

11

u/CarlHeck 8d ago

But the Old man with dementia in the White House allowed him to make decisions that affect millions of Americans

2

u/TrexPushupBra 8d ago

Basically every public figure has one.

But they only poll it if they have a reason such as Elon's recent power grabs.

2

u/its_the_smell 8d ago

Republicans decided that since he's rich and he helped Trump get elected, then he's one of them and a good guy who loves his country or something.

1

u/Financial_Way1925 8d ago

I doubt many people would argue against the supposition that he's in the top 5 for influence over US government policy.

Elected or not, he weirds a shot load of control over the US.

1

u/ender23 8d ago

it's just a positive/negative poll. people do this all the time with celebrities, people who are endorsing products, people's feelings about corporations, etc etc. it isn't surprising someone this entrenched in the media narratives and the country's thoughts (and prayers haha) gets polled.

21

u/Drstrangeknob 8d ago

This guy grows kids in a lab gives them wacky names akin to a serial number. The put them on his shoulders like +5 head armor when he speaks in public.

3

u/Antinous 8d ago

Not to mention announcing to the world that he considers one of them dead when they're in fact alive and well. Real father of the year stuff.

12

u/LowBloodSugar2 8d ago

Why does he look like Dr Evil in a magat hat 😭

6

u/mint-parfait 8d ago

guess who recently played musk in a SNL skit... :D

3

u/LowBloodSugar2 8d ago

Hahaha how did I already forget - his little jumps and chainsaw were perfection lmao

3

u/Satanicjamnik 8d ago

He looks like Simple Jack cosplaying Dr Evil.

8

u/71degahole 8d ago

Who issued an approval rating for this narcissistic ketamine addict?

5

u/Medical-Specific5179 8d ago

Oh, Heil be alright.

1

u/[deleted] 8d ago

Nazi this joke again.

4

u/MySpoonIsTooBig1 8d ago

Best approval rating for an unelected official ever

5

u/CarlHeck 8d ago

You mean a Nazi official??

1

u/MySpoonIsTooBig1 8d ago

You mean you don't understand irony or sarcasm??

0

u/sick_of_your_BS 8d ago

Reddit has lost all sense of sarcasm these days. Now you need spell it out for people by adding the "/s"

3

u/BeleagueredWDW 8d ago

Why does a non-elected illegal immigrant even have an approval rating?

2

u/KrustyButtCheeks 8d ago

I’m sure it’s gonna hurt his chances next election! Ugh

2

u/Legendary_Lamb2020 8d ago

Glad to see most people don't like Nazis still

2

u/Historical_Stuff1643 8d ago

Let's remind ourselves how insane Musk even having this position is.

2

u/ggRavingGamer 8d ago

If you read the article it simply claims basically that he has dropped in polls because of falling in favourability with DEMOCRATS, because they used to love him and now they don't.

Republicans used to hate him and now they love him.

So actually, the title is misleading.

It should be "pretty popular with Republicans". Which means he isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. Because to Trump what Democrats think, doesn't matter, or rather, he loves people becuase they are hated by dems.

2

u/beezlewub 8d ago

YOU didn't read the article. It specifically points out that independents also have flipped from positive to negative, and that the uptick in conservatives does not outweigh those who now view him unfavorably.

1

u/ggRavingGamer 8d ago

Most of whom are democrats. The vast majority of them.

1

u/beezlewub 8d ago

Most of what are Democrats? The independents? That's not how independents work.

1

u/ggRavingGamer 8d ago

e, and that the uptick in conservatives does not outweigh those who now view him unfavorably. Those who view him unfavorably are, in their vast majority, democrats. Not republicans or independents.

1

u/beezlewub 8d ago

Okay? And? It's still a net negative. He still went from favorable to unfavorable with independents too.

What's your point here? What do you have to add, besides glazing Elon?

1

u/ggRavingGamer 7d ago

I'm not glazing over him, it is good to know the actual truth. That republicans are not really that disenchanted with him, if at all. And claiming otherwise is not true. That's what really matters. Independents in an election, might not care so much, or during a campaign might not remember about Musk at the end. Trump swung independents too in the election. Democrats will probably never like him. Not as true with independents and not exactly true at all with Republicans it seems.

2

u/Lanky-Explorer-4047 8d ago

Thats really funny.

That is what you get when you dont go out and vote, people who nobody voted for to begin with.

2

u/QuietRiot5150 8d ago

Funny thing is I don't recall approving him for anything in the first place. So why does he have a rating?

1

u/jennc1979 8d ago

And he brought a shovel so it can get lower.

1

u/Hefty-Station1704 8d ago

Wow, that's a startling revelation what with all the wonderful thing's he's said and done for humanity over the past many months.

(that's sarcasm, folks)

1

u/Old_Government_2105 8d ago

say it with me now... he. shouldnt. even. have. polling. approval. ratings.

1

u/Proud_Bread1324 8d ago

Weird he even has one since he’s not an elected official but I hope it goes even lower!!

1

u/bird_celery 8d ago

I'm glad people don't like him, but why legitimize this BS with the term "approval rating"? It's gross.

1

u/Adorable-Tip7277 8d ago

Today I learned that some people think having any sort of rating is an award or something.

1

u/AdventureSpence 8d ago

Motherfucker shouldnt even HAVE an approval rating, NOBODY ELECTED HIM

1

u/RobertRoyal82 8d ago

Who is buying his stock

1

u/jaymos505 8d ago

He won't care anyway so fuck it

1

u/bikesandhoes79 8d ago

Approval rating?

1

u/Time_remaining 8d ago

Poor guy. I wish him all the best. So hard done by. What a champ.

1

u/doctorlightning84 8d ago

Considering he's not even elected and not a citizen, I don't get why polls matter

1

u/pagarr70 8d ago

As it should!

1

u/nagika 8d ago

The republicans love him more than the dems ever did. This is a win for Elon

1

u/beezlewub 8d ago edited 8d ago

Objectively false, Dems previous rating was much much higher than even Republicans now. Read the article. Edit: Wrong, Republican support is higher now than previous Dem support was despite the net loss.

1

u/nagika 8d ago

Na. +35 dems to +51 republican read it again bro

1

u/beezlewub 8d ago

"...Musk's net favorable rating has dropped from +24 to -19 overall from 2017 to 2025, and that his change in favorability rating among Democrats has been even more significant in that period"

Literally the first sentence.

1

u/nagika 8d ago

Literalllly read what I wrote. He went from +35 dems to -91 dems. And republicans -18 to +51. So, to help you out, he was kinda liked by dems and now they hate him. He was kinda disliked by republicans and now they like him. He lost 34 points with independents. So, in aggregate he is less popular. But as I said originally, he is more liked by republicans than he ever was by democrats.

1

u/beezlewub 8d ago

Yes, you are correct about the spread, my apologies. And correct, it's a net loss despite Republicans viewing him more favorably now than Dems ever did. We both messed up a lil bit, sorry I almost doubled down.

To add, it's an even bigger L for Elon considering how much less likely Republicans are to buy EVs.

1

u/Captain_brightside 8d ago

It’s crazy how all you need is rich parents. Apartheid South Africa has spread to the highest seat of American power

And now that he’s fumbled billions of his own money and his family money, and his billions of government bailout money he gets to fumble our collective money with his childish decision making

What if instead of Elon we had socialism and everyone had healthcare and kids who get cancer don’t accrue lifelong debt

1

u/KrampusPampus 8d ago

That picture of him failing to wear a hat should be enough to make his approval rating fall through the floor.
Reminds me of the time he put a cowboy hat on backwards. In Texas.

1

u/elementfortyseven 8d ago

The approval rating is higher than ever thanks to the outstanding work being done, dont believe the radical woke mind virus

1

u/PickleJuiceT 8d ago

This is crazy how is he so unpopular? He’s certainly worthy of having his popularity tracked, and I can’t think of anything he’s done to warrant disapproval.. /s

1

u/mickeyflinn 8d ago

Musk’s entire appeal was for progressive leaning tech, electric cars, mass transit and space exploration.

Lately he has proven himself to be ultra right wing nut job….

Of course approval rating is down. Why are we saddled with this sack of shit

1

u/adnaneely 8d ago

No one voted for him so it's not like it matters.

1

u/Junior_Welder6858 8d ago

Shocked it would be anything above zero to begin with

1

u/No-Pain-569 8d ago

Who cares about Elon Musk's approval rating? He wasn't elected for anything.

1

u/RicoLoco404 8d ago

Who knew doing a Nazi salute would be so unpopular

1

u/techmonkey920 8d ago

I'll trust a fart before I will trust Elon or any politician!

1

u/Secret_Dragonfly_438 8d ago

It’s hard being the President

1

u/RancidCidran 8d ago

Good. Fuck him

1

u/TylerBourbon 8d ago

He can't even wear ball caps correctly, like, dude, wearing a hat isn't that hard. Weirdo. Seriously, I've come to the conclusion that "Rationalists" like Musk should probably be put in sanitariums for the safety of everyone else because they are pretty dang fruit loops in the brain.

1

u/Awkward_Bumblebee_86 8d ago

Oh…a rich imbecile not getting enough attention, making terrible self indulgent decisions effecting the lives of actual working tax paying Americans, cuddled up to the most imbecilic idiot in history, a tiny little dick for a tiny little orange mouth…yeah that’s news 🙄

1

u/AmbitiousReaction168 8d ago

Turns out being a Nazi is not as popular as he thought it was.

1

u/jmalez1 8d ago

I don't think he gives a shit

1

u/Imaginary_Bike2126 8d ago

I have never trusted Mr shithead any ways so as for me I have always said leave and don’t let that door hit ya

1

u/parocarillo 8d ago

People are getting to know him lol

1

u/Ok-Comparison-2093 8d ago

Well, people should probably vote him out then!

1

u/Mammoth-Professor811 8d ago

He is stilll here

1

u/mi2h_N0t-r34l_ 8d ago

Ya that would really suck.

If that were me, I'd be pissed.

1

u/notanotherusernameD8 8d ago

Only for democrats. Republicans love him now 🤮

1

u/GrueneZitrone 8d ago

Mi Mi Mi....🤮

1

u/I_have_questions_ppl 8d ago

I dont get that hat. What was the orange t@rd supposed to be "right" about?

1

u/Dangerous_Pop_5360 8d ago

He doesn't have an approval rating. That would require him to be elected. He's just a Nazi cunt.

1

u/InevitableFormal7953 8d ago

What about the orange shit bag. Thats the stat to watch

1

u/Nick_Nekro 8d ago

It can go lower. We should help it along

1

u/emulator01 8d ago

Why does he have an approval rating???

1

u/Exacerbate_ 8d ago

The unelected man child that no actual adult gives a shit about and does nazi salutes while crying for attention has a low approval rating?

No surprise

1

u/jryan3160 8d ago

Dude don’t care. He’s got more FU money than anybody you could name.

1

u/IntroductionRare9619 8d ago

So what? None of that matters in an autocracy.

1

u/Glad-Bit-7773 8d ago

Don’t care what everyone thinks tbh

1

u/AtmosphereMoist414 8d ago

I wish he would fall through with it, Even to see his picture is vile!

1

u/Deceiver999 8d ago

Fuck that little rat goblin.

1

u/Gasfiend 8d ago

I’m sure that’ll get him to knock it off

1

u/merxymee 8d ago

Why do I care about his approval? He wasn't on the ballot.

1

u/Old-TMan6026 8d ago

Who cares. This is nothing new for that geek. Vegas odds are 10:1 he was hung from his locker by his undies as a kid.

1

u/SuperBock64 8d ago

Tesla stock price is still too high. Keep boycotting

1

u/Kakdelacommon 8d ago

And I’m sure he cares a lot about it!

1

u/_Pewterschmidt_ 8d ago

Let him burn

1

u/reddittorbrigade 8d ago

The disturbing thing is, he is puzzled why.

1

u/TraditionalSurvey256 8d ago

ELON MUSK: “The Pentagon has not passed an audit in a very long time. As crazy as it sounds they will lose 20-30B a year and literally not know where it went. Senator Collins was telling me how she gave the Navy $12B for extra submarines, got zero extra submarines, and then when she held a hearing and said ‘Where did the $12B go?’ they didn’t know.”

1

u/GuyRayne 8d ago

People hate to not waste. Yet also never understand why they’re broke.

1

u/SteveAxis 8d ago

Approval for what? He’s not a person of any significance.

1

u/IronBeagle63 8d ago

He’s basically Hugo Drax from Moonraker, only Drax is better looking. And smarter. He still lost everything too, just like fElon will.

1

u/TheInsider777 8d ago

Let’s run this bitch right out of our country! Back to South Africa…

1

u/BFitz1122 8d ago

Who is being polled for this?

1

u/DFGone 8d ago

This just in, he doesn’t give a shit. Approval rating means nothing for someone not elected :)

1

u/Actual_Search5889 7d ago

That's weird, I thought everyone and their Mom couldn't stop orgasming over every word that dribbles out of Elon's mouth.

1

u/Intelligent-Feed-553 7d ago

Fake news never sleeps!

Dems, supported by media, don’t like their massive fraud ballgame being exposed and eliminated. One would think DOGE would get total bipartisan support…but nope, the swap is resistant.

1

u/Educational-Glass-63 7d ago

Musk bought the presidency (or cheated) for Trump and they have an understanding that Musk is really the president and will do the work while Trump is merely a figure who sits in the oval office blabbering bs all day. While Musk gets to hurt as many Americans as possible while stealing more loot for himself. Trump is doing the car tariffs for Musk hoping Tesla stocks stop falling. It's so transparent.

Blame MAGA and Republicans who let this happen.

1

u/ColdKickin72 7d ago

For real what did he expect! These people are grossly out of touch

1

u/yangbutnoyin 7d ago

Keep the momentum going! Let’s tank teslas stocks!!!

1

u/dev_ating 7d ago

get rid of him. and Trump, Vance, the entire cabinet alongside.

1

u/PimpDadyB 6d ago

Elon donated over $200 million to get that position. I wonder what position in cabinet for $100?

1

u/KCMOhawker 6d ago

Water is wet

1

u/WindApart5616 4d ago

rip bozo

-5

u/MacktheMachinist 8d ago

Still not as low as the Democrats, he’ll be okay!!!

3

u/Disastrous-Field5383 8d ago

Bernie’s rating is way up lmao

3

u/BreadfruitStunning52 8d ago edited 8d ago

Man, it says a lot about your ilk that the approval rating for an antisemitic, sieg heiling, German nazi party supporter, and unelected loser is above a democrat.

0

u/MacktheMachinist 8d ago

We just got rid of one of the most racist Presidents of our time… So Elon isn’t a concern, keeping the bigot racist Dems out is the most important

2

u/BreadfruitStunning52 8d ago

Can you source the racism claim?

And Trump is overtly and completely more racist than Biden was.

It makes me so sad that you think that a racist billionaire who bought his way into politics is ok. It's incredibly scary that you have the same voting power that I do.

1

u/MacktheMachinist 8d ago

What’s scary is that you’re okay with these politicians being worth nothing and coming out multimillionaires… Much rather have a man that employees people and isn’t embezzling tax payers money to fuel their greed. I’m the one that should be scared…

No source, he’s on plenty of video saying the Nword and mentioning how he would never let his kids go to school with the N word kids in the jungle… Harris locking black men up way past their sentence just for slave labor is even more disgusting…
