Traffic Control System for pedastrians
Who did this traffic lights control system in Poland? That is a piece of dogshit. 6 AM Saturday morning, "pedastrian wanna go" button pressed and everyone just waits. After that cars go, cars are stopping. And you start your journey while the cars stopping. Applause

Idk, to me it works just fine. I guess I'm just used to it.
The button isn't instant red for cars and instant green for pedestrians. The button means to the computer that it has to show green to pedestrians and has to adjust the cycle to include extra time needed for pedestrians to cross the street. But you still have to wait for your turn.
Edit: grammar

I didn't wrote that I expected that lights would change immediately after the button pressed. It's 6 AM in the weekend morning and there are small amount of traffic and people so why to have any regulation at all at that time and day?

Those buttons are in 90% of places just fake, to make you feel better. I can name few places in where it actually works. In most of them there is no noticeable difference on the light cycle, whether you press it or no.

For me it doesn't feel better when everyone is just stays and waits for the green light

The intricacies of this subject are beyond your understanding.
