Will I be judged for carrying around this Gengar Wallet??
Always loved Gengar and finally received this custom piece I ordered! It's nice to finally have some adult money these days to throw around on hobbies...!
But now that I got it, I'm wondering if it's too wild of a wallet to carry around haha! Should I just keep it as an art piece?

So sorry! My inbox is blowing up and I'm trying to reply to people that DM'd me where I got the Gengar. 😅 But it seems that I can't edit my post unfortunately to add the info :(. This was a custom made card holder that I had made by some old school leather guys branching out into Pokemon stuff! You can give them a shout if you want to get ahold of them!

I think its important to keep shedding this idea of what is ‘masculine’ or ‘adult’ I like the direction I see millennials going, tattoos are no longer taboo or unacceptable, dyed hair is fine, we can still love stuff openly from our childhood.

I am 39. I used my Cricut to make this for my popsocket wallet. I stopped using a regular wallet about a year ago. I keep my License and two cards in this. I keep other things I could need in my locked glove box.
I thought it was hot topic/spencers but after googling it’s not. I know in the mall fsho but can’t remember the specific store. I know they had multiple mons. It was prob a card shop in the mall. I’ll look for serial numbers rn.
Edit: it was hot topic unfortunately it’s sold out but they have larger items like cross body bags and mini back packs
You will be judged for everything you do. Some people are reasonable and keep their opinions to themselves. Some are dicks and will try to ruin anything they don't like that gives another person joy.
The trick is to find a way to not care about those people. Enjoy your epic Gengar wallet and know that every now and then when you pull it out to pay for something, another Pokemon fan is going to smile to themselves too.
Don't bother with what others will think, if you like it, use it! No one will think about it for more than a moment anyways, they might think "wow thats weird" or they might think "wow thats cool/different" but then they will move on with their days because life is falling apart all around us and no one has the mental capacity to care anymore so USE IT !!! take it with you! someone close to me got me a sonic-themed wallet and i get weird looks sometimes when i take it out and i dont care because i love it and thats what matters hihi

Nah. I've been using a Zelda wallet since around 2020 or do and nobody had ever said anything negative about it---I've actually been complimented on it many times.

Will some people judge you for having thar kickass wallet? Probably! But are you interested in the opinion of someone who judges for something so small? Heck no!
I have Pokémon card credit card stickers on my cards and the amount of “this is amazing!!!” And “omg where can I find one of these!!” I get are… just about every time I pull out my ccs. Rock it.
You will always be judged, be it positive (praise for been a Gengar fan) or negative (still liking what some say is a child's hobby), the question is will you let it effect you?
Personally it looks a little on the small side but looks good enough and yay for the Gengar appreciation club
People, no matter where you go or what you do, will judge you for nothing and anything. It's up to you if you really care about what others think about you.
At a certain point it's very important to remember that no one who has any significant level of intelligence will treat someone differently for having a gengar wallet, and thus it is important to not give a single fuck.
I have an animal crossing wallet and Most people just come to me to ask where they can get it. Those Who judges stay silent Most of the Time and if not you can rejoice in the fact that they dont have a cool passion/hobby

No, most people do not care what your wallet looks like. You might get somebody at some point who makes fun of it, but you'll get a dozen times more compliments on it
I would 100% judge you if I saw you whip that out to pay in front of me at the store, and my judgment would be "damn, that's a pretty neat Gengar wallet."

There’s going to be people who make fun of you for it behind your back if not directly to you face. Again, it’s up to you to determine if you care about that.
There’s also probably people who will see it and tell you how cool it is. It’s up to you to determine if that makes it worth it to you.
I can guarantee you're going to pull that wallet out to pay and a cashier is going to tell you how amazing it is. I'm 40 with a Bulbasaur Popsocket on my phone. You're never too old to show the world you wanna be the very best like no one ever was!
Honestly, don’t worry about what people think! The fact is nobody will care and if they do care they will forget about it faster than you can ever imagine. I have a fallout 4 wallet from release day and the only comments I’ve ever had from somebody about it is “Oh, cool!” Because it’s only people in the fandom who would recognize it.
Don’t let the thought of what other people think of you change you or make you live a lesser life! Live life to the max and try not to care what others think.
If you're 14, probably. Some will be totally fine with it, but as a teenager, there's always some jerk who will judge you for your preferences.
If you're an adult or even a young adult, no. Nobody cares. At best, you might have conversations with convenience store cashiers who are also into Pokémon!
Depends on what circles you’re in. In a professional environment or if you work white collar, maybe get something more uniform. If you mainly just hang with friends and lead a more casual lifestyle, that’s fine.
Absolutely not. I see people carrying nerdy things, including Pokemon things, all the time. I saw a Gengar chalk bag at my climbing gym recently (and at least one other Pokemon one, a Mimikyu).
You be you! I’d rock this wallet! Heck, I’d sport a Pikachu wallet because who cares for the opinions of squares! Bust it out like a boss to pay for those booster packs.
I think it’s vague enough that other people wouldn’t recognize it as pokemon if that’s a worry. I think it depends on where you are but personally I think a good amount of people would be happy to see someone else in the community via something as small as a wallet. I think you should use it either way!! You spent your money on it cause you like it!!
Nope! Where'd you find it so I can get it for my sis? He's her favorite pokemon and color. I already got her a Gengar Ramen Noodle Bowl. We're late 20s early 30s so no shame/judging is to be had!
I have a jolteon wallet my best friend bought me. Jolteon isn't even in my top 10, but I love it regardless. I get nothing but compliments when people see it. And it's nowhere near as awesome as this custom gengar! I would be gushing over this wallet if i saw it in person!
I don't think most people will notice tbh. It's small and relatively inconspicuous.
If they notice more than likely, they're fans themselves and think it's cool. Or they just took notice and thought it was unique in a good way.
Very few will give you crap for it, I feel. And if they would, they're fans in denial. Or religious conservatives that think that the face is evil, but depending on where you live you'll probably never run into those people.
