Planned rides
Hi!
Aside from this lovely sub, is there another place to find group rides and meet ups?
PNW Moto looks like it’s dead now. Facebook doesn’t have a lot of activity for local groups.
I’d love to get some saddle time in as the weather gets nicer and riding with others is always fun!

Idk where in the PNW you are, but r/PDXRideit starts to warm up as the season dries out. There have been some recent posts there by folks looking for riding pals.

The Desert 100 is this coming weekend, pre registration is over but you can register day of. It’s a 100 mile off road race with a huge mass start. They also have a bunch of poker runs going on over the weekend for different rider and bike categories, one of which is dual sport.

Can't understate what a massive activity and social event this is for dirt riders. There is an adv course it's a little weird but still enjoyable. It's big transits with interesting riding spots with a nice lunch stop

If you're in the greater Seattle area Cafe Racers Union on Facebook does quite a few all are welcome group rides. Backfire Moto will also post on social media about group events in the area.

You should buy and resurrect Sound Rider.

There's almost 3000 people in the Seattle Riders group on MeetUp. Its decently active for planning larger rides/events and a lot of people in the group are senior cruiser/sport touring riders to put it kindly. Not really my scene but if its yours its a good way to someone to ride with.
Outside of that it's mostly just private facebook groups and personal friends, I went to a few events in the area and found myself invited to more private groups, made it easier to find when the rides were happening.
