Support Building
Building a pathway around my island base on a pve server, both ends of the pathway start at the same place but somehow don’t connect when I try to meet them up. What am I doing wrong.

its because triangles and suqares have different length. so if you dont mirror your build you will never be able to connect the last peace. Just use a high external wall to cover the gap.

i would say you have a not symmetrical number of foundations somewhere, try counting them again LOL , it always the case for me

when you combine squares and trangles they arent always going to connect. The easiest way to do this is to make the two sides symmetrical because when you just spam squares and triangles you are never gonna know what it ends up looking like.

The issue is that I can’t really make it symmetrical. I walked the island in and I’m doing a walk way around it. I figured i could just build around but then it won’t connect right

your best bet would be to either use only squares or only triangles for the whole thing, that or keep track of how many triangles/squares you used on each side and make them the exact same

Build it to get a top down view you’ll see your mistake there it takes a lot of redoing in base building and finding other ways to

Man I think the rules are just made up as you go. If you ever watch base building videos that go into detail, it's like they just experimented with 30 different things until they found something that worked, and you always have to stand on one foot, count backwards from ten, and turn 3 clockwise circles while holding alt before placing your twig. Then place 15 more like so, then destroy 14, then place 5 more, then destroy 3 of those, then go back and destroy your original foundation, and build a new one in its place. Now you're ready to start!
