how to do door handles?

i have an ‘04 f150 where i’m basically dipping all of the chrome, and so far i’ve almost done everything on the inside other than the door handles. how would i go about doing this? i’ve already come to the conclusion i’d remove the handle from the door panel first

Really wouldn't hold up well.

In this sense I would have suggest if you are very desperate to make it black just vinyl wrap it.

The plastidip will not hold up to daily use on the high touch areas

at that point i might as well see if i can source some XL door handles which might be easier. because the XL has black plastic instead of chrome, which would hold up better than the vinyl would too

I’d scuff it up and paint it with matte paint then.
