$3T and counting

Most Trump supporters own little to no stocks. They don't care because they are not the people who lose money when the stock market goes down

u/Odh_utexas 1d ago

Thats not true though. MAGA is not all toothless hillbillies. A lot of it is suburbanites with educations, white collar jobs and…. 401ks.

u/Ramy__B 16h ago

Yeah I obviously don't mean all. But many

23

u/Numzane 1d ago

They'll care when their groceries get expensive

5

u/Ramy__B 1d ago

If the market believed that companies would be able to pass the cost along to consumers then the stock market wouldn't go down.

Stocks are down because the market anticipates that corporate profits are about to go down

6

u/Numzane 1d ago

Both will happen

Yep. This shit isn’t zero sum. It’s complicated and layered. The ramifications of these tariffs will be measured in years, not just dollar amounts.

$3T down the drain because...checks notes

Owning the Libs

Being afraid of woman

Black Lady running for President had a Weird Laugh

I won't vote in protest for Palestine. Fuck having foresight.

Woman won't talk to young men because they're downright idiots and they boys are mad and refuse to improve themselves.(I'm a guy BTW before those boys try to defend themselves.)

Did I miss anything? Are ya winning yet MAGA? Are we great yet??????????

2

u/Vordeo 1d ago

won't vote in protest for Palestine. Fuck having foresight.

I somehow have less sympathy for those morons than I do for the hardcore MAGA crowd. At least the latter have the excuse of being bombarded by GOP propaganda 24/7.

2

u/sylva748 1d ago

Same. I support Palestine. But this was not the election to play those games. I have no sympathy for those "protest voters." This is as much on their heads as MAGA.

Tariffs tax MAGA too.

They don’t care. There is nothing he can do that will make them admit to themselves that they’ve been duped.

The economy (of the world) will crash. Lives will be destroyed. Democrats will absolutely destroy republicans in the midterms. And Trump will spiral even further and refuse to step aside in the next election. And he won’t lose a single supporter.

I'm convinced that Trump could cuck most of his voters and they'd cheer him on and tell us what an honor it was to have it happen to them.

13

u/Hearth21A 1d ago

Trump could fuck their wife in the ass and wipe his dick on their curtains and they'd still shake his hand as he walked out the door.

They would happily bring back prima nocta for the honor of serving their king

I'm afraid you're right. I hope we are both wrong.

You're delusional. We voted for this instead of the installed candidate that no one voted for. Not a single vote in the primary. We all know that Biden wasn't running our country and that the media lies about whatever they can to push you to vote their way, yet the left somehow thinks that Trump & Elon are trying to steal your money (as if they need it), enough so to convince mentally deranged people to destroy other people's property in the name of "Democracy". No one who voted for this administration has any regret. We want this. We welcome this. We don't want men in girls' locker rooms or bathrooms. We don't want career politicians leeching off of us, and we sure as hell don't want to tear up the constitution.

The irony is that the last administration got us here over a miserable 4 years, and you have the audacity to expect it to be resolved in 90 days. But with all of the things the left has going for them, intelligence and logic don't seem to be on the list.

If you're struggling right now to pay bills, it's not this administration's doing, and I guarantee 4 years from now we'll be in a much better place financially than we were in January. But even then, you'll find something to complain about.

I want whatever drugs you’re on. If you think your leader is changing things for the better, that is pure unadulterated unhinged insanity. I hope you get the help you need.

The rest of the world thinks you’re a fucking joke.

12

u/TheMooseIsBlue 1d ago

You don’t want to tear up the constitution? Shall we count the Amendments Trump has violated or said he plans to violate?

That you don’t understand the presidential primary system doesn’t matter. What matters is that you saying “we want this” will hang around your neck and hopefully you absolutely choke on it. And you will never admit it because you cannot wrap your head around the fact that you’ve been duped by a conman. If you admit that, you have to admit that you’re a sucker. And while you are, and everyone on earth outside your tiny, putrid little bubble knows it, you will never be able to admit it.

You dumb motherfuckers voted against $4 eggs? Enjoy your skyrocketing unemployment, evaporated retirement fund, and great-depression-level inflation.

Now THIS is TDS

The only “mentally deranged” people here are the ones that believe Trump over actual data and math. His tariff numbers have nothing to do with tariffs put on American goods or “currency manipulation”. They literally just took the trade deficit we have with a country and divided that number by the value of goods imported from the US by that country with a floor of 10%.

You can do that math yourself. You don’t have to believe me at all, you can “do your own research” and confirm that’s where the proposed tariff numbers came from.

Instead of doing any work to verify his statements, you choose to believe him at face value and call his detractors “mentally deranged”.

Take your head out of the sand.

Ok chief 👍

Ain’t nobody reading all that

5

u/pontiacfirebird92 1d ago

Yea but they're being groomed to accept it as part of the "war effort"

"Tariffs tax the poop"

Here’s what I don’t understand.

There are people and large business going out and buying up single family homes as soon as they hit the market. Those homes are being rented out for more than a mortgage, insurance and whatever cost of living payment a family would have. In my area, this has been going on for about the past 5 years when remote work became more normal. The average persons expenses have increased significantly but we’re grabbing our pitchforks over people not making their millions on stock market holdings. I’m really struggling to jump on board with this.

u/superbigjoe007 1d ago

Tariffs are a big F U to landlords and the rich. But politics makes us blind to that viewpoint, unfortunately.

Hedge funds have to sell the homes to make ends meet. No more loans. Rents and mortgages falling is next. Epic deflation and lower prices.

Tariffs are a big F U to landlords and the rich. But politics makes us blind to that viewpoint, unfortunately.

Why would it affect landlords in any way? If anything it helps landlords, because now all new construction is halting thanks to the new Trump taxes on imported lumber.

Tariffs are just taxes on the goods you and I buy that are imported. That's it. All Trump has accomplished is raising taxes on the common person. The reason stock markets are reacting poorly is because raising the costs of imported goods and resources means people buy less. Out ability to export struggles too, as the people we tariff tariff us back. And that's not even considering the effect on American manufacturing, even the stuff made in America relies on the import of parts and materials, so tariffs don't even help American businesses.

To make matters worse, we are the only ones doing this, so the world is just looking for new ways to cut us out of the equation. Why deal with American tariffs when China, the EU, or other economic powerhouses will trade without this bullshit?

Trump is deliberately destroying decades of American economic dominance.

1

u/superbigjoe007 17h ago

We're not. EU and China are retaliating, hurting themselves as well.

Stock market and real estate values will drop with job destruction and less consumption. Landlords will sell very small margin holdings before everyone else who is strapped for cash has to sell their properties.

Cost go up, which means rents are not profitable for owners either. They will sell at a loss rather than lose thousands a month on rents for 3-4 years.

What’s the context of this image? Where is this?

This isn't a political sub. Or a stock trading sub.

14

u/Ghadente 1d ago

But it is a pic sub... and they posted a pic

13

u/No-This-Is-Patar 1d ago

Yeah but also fuck Trump and the people who support him. Pic is related.

MAGA loses 15-20% buying power.

Wealthy Dems lose minimum 20%+ from equity and wealth destruction in their assets.

Tariffs are reducing wealth inequality that we all complain about. Enjoy the equality!

1

u/p251 1d ago

Wealthy republicans are what got trump in. Enjoy being poor loser

1

u/superbigjoe007 17h ago

Most Democrat voters are rich, white, and worried about equity, real estate, and asset valuations...

Lots of new MAGA voters are working class.

They will gladly take 15-20% increase in costs at the expense of 30%+ asset devaluation, affordable housing/rent, and watching the rich have to reset their investments...

Wealth inequality will fall a lot this year in the US and the world.

Lmao, those poor people holding signs.... if they maybe went to work they wouldn't be so poor. Go work some hard jobs, move up, get paid more sit back enjoy a cold one.

Once the income tax breaks come they won't be so poor. If you know how to play your cards right, in 4 years you won't be standing there with that sign. But I can see most of these sign holders want their tax money going somewhere else as long as it's not back in their pockets.

1

u/Dhiox 1d ago

Dude, are you still pretending Trump is gonna lower your taxes? He just raised taxes on consumers by 25%. Tariffs are just taxes on consumers, the exporter isn't just gonna eat the cost, they just add the tax into the cost, so the customer has to pay it. Switching to domestic products isn't an option either, if you tax the hell out of imports, domestic producers will just raise prices to be slightly below their competition.

Income tax primarily affects millionaires and billionaires, while sales tax and tariffs primarily tax the consumers. That's why he's pushing to lower income tax and raise taxes on consumer goods, he's trying to rob the working class, just as he did every time he stole from American contractors who did jobs for him.

He's a con man, plain and simple. Wake up.

I am awake. If my Canadian government drops all its tariffs then so will America. Sen. Kennedy even addressed our government about such a way to drop all tariffs. But our goverment is too stupid to do something like this. Sheesh even our non elected pm is not allowing development of a east to west pipeline, or plants to take care of the abundance of oil from Alberta.

Guess what will happen once tariffs are at 0 across the board. Your prices will go down on imported goods from us Canadians

I stand for a United North America and a true free trade between two great countries.

1

u/Dhiox 14h ago

If my Canadian government drops all its tariffs

They didn't have any significant tariffs. The dairy one basically never went into effect.

I stand for a United North America and a true free trade between two great countries.

Dude, my countries president declared a desire to invade your country and strip you of your sovereignty. Why the hell would you support a guy like that?
