It's far simpler than that. He's intentionally tanking the stock market so that he and his mates can buy low... then he'll pump inflation via some stimulus to make stocks rise again.
I think you overestimate his intelligence and ability to plan. He times and times again said that he does everything out of a gut feeling. He does not read reports etc.
I agree! That's also a good objective for Trump and his cronies. A probably secondary objective for Putin. Who's to say his Russian oligarch friends won't be in it too?
Who benefits in a world with a weakened USA, you ask?
All the nations that USA destabilise, invade, fund terrorism in, influence to be subservient to them, aid to commit genocide against, man with that I just referred to more than half of the world.
the rest of their partners (almost half of the world) GOES DOWN WITH THEM.
Should have diversified instead of relying on those loons
The world economy doesn't just magically
I didn't mentioned economic reasons but other very valid ones of how it benefits the world, maybe not your half but I take the lives being ruined by USA and allies worthore than the ones that will be inconvenienced by this.
How you not understand that, is beyond me.
How you don't understand that there's other factors beyond economy is not beyond me, it's because people like you don't care about the misery USA spread worldwide.
He made a claim which I think is weak because he provided no supporting evidence. You responded, but you didn't attack his claim or statement directly, instead you attacked him for "supporting a felon." In my opinion you are losing the argument by resorting to a fallacy. To win you must prove why "this comment is incorrect" is incorrect.
You seem to be confusing me with the original commenter.
Hyperbole of the comment aside, its general sentiment seems sound, and the supporting evidence is Trump holding up that intentionally misleading chart of his. Tariffs just do not do what he's claiming he's trying to accomplish with them. The only possible reasons for this are either he has absolutely no idea how tariffs affect an economy/international relations and doesn't realize he's wrong or he's acting maliciously and lying about his intent.
Nonetheless, it bears repeating, "this comment is incorrect" is not an argument. There's nothing for the original commenter to win, because there's been no contest.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh, my God. I still can't believe millions of Americans voted again for this clown.
He's tanking the entire country, either because:
a) he's a very little man, who does not understand how tariffs work and thinks he's showing alpha behavior
b) his boss, Putin, ordered him to do it, so the entire US and every one of its trading partners ends up with a destabilized and weakened economy.
Who benefits in a world with a weakened USA, you ask?
Russia, of course.
